Russia has sustained military casualties in Syria.

Russia has had very few military casualties in Syria. Russia in Syria is not engaging but assisting the Syrian Arab Army so there is a difference.

The death of the Russian pilot was provoked by Turkey. So again Russia has gained more then lost in Syria. As for Eastern Ukraine. Russia has not lost there. The fighting might have stoped but they have not lost.

Last I checked Japan is part of several bilateral defensive alliances nd not just with the US.

NATO can remain as long as the members want it to stay. The level of bitching I see about NATO existence looks more like envy in that if NATO was not around Russia could run the table in Europe.

Nato's not going anywhere so get use to it.

Are you even reading the same thread...everything you post is being countered with facts that even you can find if you actually look.

Finally you understand Russia took military casualties in Syria.

Russia violated Turkish airspace numerous times, and was warned numerous times by Turkey, that any more violations of its airspace would result in an armed reaction. Russia opted not to take the warning seriously and in doing so one of their fighters was shot down.

Still waiting on Russia to release all the info they claim would show the aircraft was not in turkish airspace.

God, I hope whomever you vote in next makes normalising relations with Russia a top priority.

Every tiny step in this escalation between the two makes the world that little bit more dangerous to live in.
Was the Crimea annexation issue, really worth all the trouble it has stirred up?

We shall see how long your favorite drunk idiots will last.

Maybe NATO should sing their next hit in Berlin with the Migrants.

lol, well im glad my country isnt a member of NATO, because it would be kind of hard to deal with as we have guilt by association laws. As Turkey is an ISIS supporter that would make me an ISIS supporter too, by proxy, maybe even a member.

Ah yes because Turkey did this with their planes on the ground...what master minds those Turks are.

Did you miss the part where Russia was warned of the conseqiences before they even crossed the border...because if not then you should do some research.

Apparently Russia thinks so.

Also ignoring actions like Russia going into Crimea and the justifications given are the same Hitler gave for annexing the Sudetenland.

You have no idea how many brave Russian boys have been killed in Syria because the Russian government does not allow the deaths there to be reported. They only reported the deaths of the pilots because it involved the propaganda war with Turkey. There are also Russian boys dying in Ukraine. I know you don't want to believe it, but Putin's hands are stained with Russian blood.

They did actually and this was proven when the comms were released. They ignored the Turkish warnings.

You are right, and I guarantee that is on the table of any western mock-up. They took Crimea with zero repercussion globally.

They stepped into Syria when their interests were threatened.

Yes I can see the western aggression, but the Russian response has been overly done.

And it's followed up on a regular basis with comments of not being able to withstand the US military so they would have to resort to nukes.

It is a good global balancing chess piece, don't get me wrong. However currently I wouldn't trust Putin in a first action scenario anymore than I would trust bad haircut-boy Kim Jong Un.

Russia recently threatened first strike nukes on Turkey over the Bosphorus strait, citing that te attack would have to be overwhelming because Turkey is NATO.

Putin has been dying to look for a revenge against Turkey for shooting down that SU-24.
