You know that the AR15 was being sold from basically day one to both military and civilian buyers right?
Also, there's the fact that the AR15 itself was much more a product of L. James Sullivan and the rest of the armalite engineering staff.
Eugene Stoner got his start as a garage gun builder. Supported garage builders. Had a very large collection of personally owned machine guns. And
designed multiple other semiautomatic and full automatic firearms that were also sold to civilian buyers.
To say that he wouldn't have wanted these guns available to the public is asinine, and an outright lie.
There literally would never have been a Gene Stoner if surplus Johnson rifles and light machine guns hadn't been available as cheap surplus available
for garage inventors to work with...
This article is stupid and a prime example of the families of dead men who haven't accomplished anything useful themselves dirtying his good name for
a cause he plainly didn't believe in.
