Indeed, but it's sad to see a once-civilised nation that was a beacon of democracy and freedom in the world fall apart in this way. Same thing for my own country, once-Great Britain that helped to bring peace and stability in Europe now being the catalyst to lead to its break up and destruction.

If so i could easily draw in a few slave accounts into play and just make imaginative posts all day making money. I wonder if we could bot them.... make it so the bots do all of the work and then delete everything it posts. Collect the money and use it to expose a candidate.

I agree with OP completely. This place has become as big of a leftist think tank since when I originally joined. But, if Hitlery wins, will have more important things to worry about than the quality of this forum. I don't post often because of the reasons you stated. I just lurk and often shake my head. I honestly thought they were just leftist Europeans with some American leftists mixed in, but it is quite possible they are a bunch of paid shills.

I noticed a huge influx of new accounts that are pro trump/anti muslim and right leaning. There are , what, 2 people that support Clinton? I am not sure we are seeing the same website.

It's been pretty well obvious that virtual armies of paid sock-puppet accts have been infiltrating the internet for a long while now. I mean in 2016? Yea, it's safe to assume you've encountered paid sock-puppet operatives on many occasions.

Only problem with this is that normally liberals do FAR better at this then conservatives. As I have said before liberals are activist by nature while conservatives normally don't go that route until they are P***-off.

Maybe that is part of the problem we have today. If Conservatives had been more active and balanced the Liberal PC crowd over the pass 20+ years we would be in a more balanced position now. Unforgettably we will probably have to beat it back with a sledgehammer now and will undoubtedly cause it to swing to far right. Which will start the whole cycle over again.

I've seen some strange happenings on here lately.

Members that come into new threads with maybe 2-3 comments on it, and within about a minute flat they have like 10 stars while the rest of thread is still dead. It's like a flash-upvote yet nobody is commenting. Keep an eye out for it.

Another thread where people can attempt to make themselves feel ITK.

The only infestation on here is paranoia matched by delusions of grandeur. When you can get 30+ stars for comments such as "It's already happened".

What great insight... who is giving people stars for being mysterious and attention seeking?

How strick is your immigration policy? How many illegal aliens do you having coming across your boarders day to day. How many refugees have you taken in lately? If you were more open like the USA you would be more diversified.

As an Englishman i don't have a dog in this fight, but i see a constant barrage of rhetoric from both sides, and in all honesty, i can see it's a difficult one.

Some people are worried about their way of life changing, some are actively trying to change it or "progress". Happens with all generations in nearly all societies.

I wish y'all well with it. Im agoraphobic so i worry more about getting my damn foot out of the door from time to time.

I actually remember this during the Obama campaign and Im not sure, but it might've even started to a lesser degree with the Bush re-election. By far and wide, it gets worse during election time (Notice I mentioned both Bush & Obama-if it were only one I would've left names out and been more general). The point is it gets bad here during elections. That is 100% evident.

Personally, I think any topic that isn't in a political forum, "Conservative" and "Democrat" or "Liberal" and "Republican" should be banned words.

I made a post a week or two ago, highlighting how back when this started, the days of BBS, then early days of ATS, and what followed... that there was no political leanings. No political agendas.

This is a conspiracy site. [Any government is BAD] that's the point. Governments lying is the enemy. If they aren't lying, ok, so its not worth mentioning. Are they lying about each other? Great, who cares. We are not left/right here, nor are we supposed to be. We are supposed to be straight in the middle, not giving a damn about politics unless there's a political conspiracy afoot. And in that case, again, its not left/right, its about gov lying or not.

Yesterday a thread with links to World Net Daily and Infowars got flagged and starred to the top

Sometimes y'all make it too easy on us, and when y'all get exposed you go run and create threads like these calling people with different opinions than yours "paid trolls".

I won't name any names but there is a certain poster that post anti-hillary/anti-obama/pro-right wing propaganda threads EVERY DAY.

But we're the ones being paid? How dare someone else has a different opinion than me!
