Why are you comparing bare handed and knives to a type of gun? Why not compare bare handed and knives to just guns in general? Oh wait that would blow your narrative out of the water wouldn't it?

This whole thread is abusing statistical analysis to try to make it look like rifles are less harmful than knives and fists then use that evidence to argue that guns are less harmful than knives or fists. Propaganda detected...

I think you missed another point. They (they being Obama) are talking about banning assault rifles. Not fists, not glock pistols, not dirty socks, assault rifles. Never mind they aren't smart enough to understand that term. I think you need to pay attention a bit better.

I'm pretty sure they are talking about restrictions not bans.

Whilst I agree the Muslim terrorists are useful idiots in Deep States agenda, the paradigm is about to change with high youth unemployment, minority disenfranchisement, dead end no hope no future places like Detroit, the erosion of the middle class and the state of the economy there will be successful recruitment of many lone wolfs and eventually with these unscreened Syrians that are ISIS trained you are going to get at the minimium IED's and suicide bombers, possibly even Muslim Timothy Mc Veighs Trump is right you better get tough and you better get smart or theres going to be hell to pay.

The op rejects anti gunner PROPAGANDA.

Numbers don't lie.

Politicos do.

Your post with statistical information is twisting the fact that guns are very dangerous.

Even if those stats are correct, it does not take into consideration the decline or incline of deaths by each death tactic.

I always love when you bust out this graphic, I can almost just feel the jaws drop in disbelief. It looks like it may have been updated too??

What some people are not taking in to account.

Going around shooting each other is verboten under current US law, and has been for quite a while.

Among 80 YEARS worth of other unconstitutional civil liberty violations of gun control.

Not up dated.

Anti gunners ignore it though.

Gun owners have been tried, convicted in the kangaroo courts of public opinion.

Apparently we are all 'mass murders'.

Right here you show how you fail to accept objective and verifiable facts in preference to the emotionally based argument of, "guns are very dangerous."

And then you go on to dismiss the facts by saying, "if those facts are correct."

Go find objectively verifiable data which contradicts the data presented to you and then you might have an actual basis to form an opinion; as it is right now all you have is an appeal to emotion.

There are lots of really good reasons why mental health treatment has been de-prioritized in the US. My favorite two:

1) We are in the middle of a push to "privatize" everything.

2) There is no profit in preventative mental health care or treatment.

The only mental health concern that *is* a profit center is court appointed drug and alcohol treatment / classes, and court appointed "anger" classes. Everything else is a socialist nightmare that nobody wants to pay for.

Get it right.

You are all future mass murderers. Your crime is pre-crime.

Philip K. Dick predicted everything, apparently.

Not mine. These days as soon as I see a post of mine has been responded to by Neo, I just ignore it because I know its going to be full of hyperbole and a gross misunderstanding of the points I'm trying to make.

once again your ignorant thick skull does not take into consideration that even if those were facts, it does not include the incline or decline in the deaths of each murder weapon

Do you just decide to skip over that tiny pesky lil thought?

If you can play that card, then I can play this card...

How many people could an enraged crazy person kill while locking himself in a room with 300 people and only his hands vs. a semi-automatic weapon

See, it works both ways

YEP

The CLinton era legislation of the Assault weapons ban and the Brady Handgun Prevention Act sealed that deal.

With the creation of the background check in the 90s.

The first time in over 225 years Americans had to prove their innocence to the STATE.

Guilty until proven innocent, and still guilty of a crime committed by someone else.

Which totally IGNORES then entire bill of rights, and the 14th amendment.

Please state the incline and decline in deaths of each murder weapon since you feel it is so important to the conversation.

It IS important, you can go find that info yourself if you want, Im sure your wouldn't take my word for it.

You are trying to make driving a car or riding a bike or a fist is more dangerous than a gun, WTF???

not as many as you think, because if it was that crowded he barely will have a chance to draw his weapon, or the space to do so. When is the last time you went and put some time down range behind a handgun?? I just want to know the experience level all this fear is coming from. or you can tell me to stay out of it no problem.

So, to be clear, there are no GOOD reasons for the deline in mental healthcare standards, or the breadth and thread count of the safety net that mental healthcare offers?

Thought so

You made the statement, so you back it up.

Based on statistics, driving a car or riding a bike is in fact more dangerous than an assault rifle if you are looking at number of deaths. The odds of being killed driving a car is far greater than being shot by an assault rifle or even a handgun. So I implore you, for the children, please give up your car to save just one life.
