We aren't at war with Islam though. I literally just got done talking to a co-worker who is Muslim. At no points did he suggest that he wanted to destroy the west or that he was fighting a war against us.

You dont get it we are are either fighting radical islam or we aren't ,you have to be bloody minded to win a war ,99 per cent of Japanese citizens in world war two were not enemies of the USA but they all had to forfeit rights and suffer until the war was won.

You do realize that America has since expressed regret for interning all those Japanese citizens during WWII right? It's not something we are proud of nor want to repeat in future wars.

PS: Fighting a "war" against radical Islam is just as impossible as fighting a "war" against drugs. It certainly can't be fought with traditional warfare tactics. That's for sure.

There were 5 attacks on US mainland soil during world war two two involved Japanese submarines,one involved German saboteurs off a U-boat,one was a small spy ring of Germans in New York and the one involved explosive baloons sent from Japan,considering the whole planet was involved in this war and over 50 million died in it you would have to conclude that whilst harsh the measures taken WORKED.

Erm... Did you consider the reason those attacks were infrequent is because we are sandwiched between the two biggest oceans in the world and most of the fighting occurred in Asia and Europe? But NAAAAH let's give credit to a historic low point in American history with no corroborating evidence linking it to any results.

Geography is the reason the US didn't have an attack on its mainland. It isn't because of domestic policy during WWII. Its distance. You think if Japan or Germany had the capability to bomb the USA during WWII with planes that had that type of reach they would have chosen not too? Because of our policy?

You know Japan tried even using weather balloons dropping incendiary bombs on the west coast. They just didn't burn anything.

You republicans are SHEEP listening to faux news. Keep that logic up, lets start up the concentration camps. Lets build some more human furnaces. We will save 40 people next time in our mass round up.

Totally agree with you, and has been my point all along. It is impossible to stop a lone wolf. Its also very difficult to prevent tragedies where the individual has decided they are okay with dying.
