There was a maiden fair and sweet
Hidden from all the realms.
Her beauty immaculate,
Her skin without flaw.

To me she spoke
For some time,
As the Sun settled in the sky,
Her eyes did gaze into mine.

Of song and lyric
Did we speak,
To show her mine,
She was pleased.

Adorned in a dress of blue.
But her a sin
To me she was,
For her brother was my friend.

Her beauty eternal.
Her voice music.
Her skin so smooth.
Her hair of silk.

My love for her
A flickering light.
Not eternal,
But oh so bright.

My love for her,
Though ever brief.
To declare?
Or set free.

That's what I'm talking about! I love when I post something and then someone else posts something before me, and I'm all like, "I love this forum."

And your work? đź‘Ś Sublime.

Haha I will see what you wrote when I finish this comment then. Nothing special, just a predicament I am in or have in poem form. But thank you very much for the compliment.

The Writer often draws from their life experiences. It's to be expected. You crafted a fine piece here in my opinion. Here's hoping you share more. 🍺

Fair chance I'll share a piece a day and I have a lengthier bit that will be ready in a week I'd say if I get to starting to ending it. I think that is always the case essentially. When we are in love we write romantically, but when we are not we tend to the darker themes. Or is that just me?
