There was a maiden fair and sweet
Hidden from all the realms.
Her beauty immaculate,
Her skin without flaw.
To me she spoke
For some time,
As the Sun settled in the sky,
Her eyes did gaze into mine.
Of song and lyric
Did we speak,
To show her mine,
She was pleased.
Adorned in a dress of blue.
But her a sin
To me she was,
For her brother was my friend.
Her beauty eternal.
Her voice music.
Her skin so smooth.
Her hair of silk.
My love for her
A flickering light.
Not eternal,
But oh so bright.
My love for her,
Though ever brief.
To declare?
Or set free.
