I personally think they are smart enough to figure out when they are being recorded and would avoid it. I also do not think they are "revealing" themselves to me. I'm sure that they are actually trying to avoid being seen.

Other people could see these things and easily write it off as a bug, or "seeing things" or imagination. I believe there is so much we don't know such as other dimensions and universes so when I see things that are unexplainable I don't just write it off as imagination or weary eyes...I'm open to the idea that it could be something I don't know about yet.

What I am saying is that I believe they are everywhere but people have ingrained coping mechanisms to automatically assume it is something explainable (a bug, wasp, rabbit foot, eye trick) when they encounter such things so as to protect themselves from looking/feeling like they are nuts, which is fine, just I don't do this. I'd rather actually be nuts than believe there is no possibility of things that cannot be explained.

Obviously, don't care if people on this message board think I'm crazy. However in real life, unfortunately, I wouldn't prance around saying that I saw a fairy

Looks like we're a lot alike outside of politics! That's exactly how I feel. Plus you can read about this stuff from days before there were ways to capture or spread the word of what you've seen, in BC times for example. In fact, I believe that most of the "myths" we hear about were things that were actually seen by people.

I have to say, this is something I've never heard of or seen... Very interesting to say the least. I'm not skeptical of anything supernatural because I've seen and heard my fair share of such, just never a fairy. I see this was from last Summer so I'll see if there are any updates as I read through the rest of your thread.

Your daughter hadn't lost a tooth, eh? Tee hee, kidding. Couldn't resist.

She has not lost a real tooth, but she has told me that she lost a tooth at school and even showed me a hole in her mouth (there was not one). I told her to please find it and let me see it and she said she would, then came home and said it was an invisible tooth and literally showed me her "invisible" tooth in her hands. It was so cute I just played along. I said the tooth fairy must have given her "invisible" money for her "invisible" tooth.

She also has not one loose tooth, but insists on telling everyone that she has 2 loose teeth. I have to explain that she has also lost an invisible tooth after they move her teeth (as she willingly lets them) and they do not budge at all. Then she goes about to show them the "hole" from whence the invisible tooth came from.

All very confusing but so cute.

I believe first that each outlandish story could possible have some truth to it, such as the Noah's Arc. I am not religious, but the bible and Jesus is fascinating to me. What he called "God" just might have only been the best way in that time to describe this "magic" I just know of today.

Strangely enough what you describe sounds like a pigme puff from harry potter. =^.^=

It could be some type of sprit as it doesn't sound like any fae I know of.

Please tell of the fae you know of?

Also, yes, it did sort of resemble the pigme, without any eyes, nose, etc. Where did the idea of the pigme in Harry Potter come from? Is it really fiction?

Gotta love it... I have a 6 month old and his first two teeth have broken through. To keep to the topic of strange and unusual, sometimes when I'm letting him stand on my stomach while I'm reclined on the couch (dining area behind me), he'll look behind me and towards the ceiling and start smiling and sometimes laughing. If you've ever seen me in supernatural threads, you'll find that I've got a little kid ghost in my house, so I often wonder if that's what he sees.

Anything is possible. I'm religious (never go to church although I probably should) and while I have faith in all of that, it's not hard to see why someone could be skeptical. Also, like you said, it could be descriptions from that era and described as they thought it was. Fire and brimstone falling from the sky, for example, would make you think it was raining fire and brimstone but it most likely was an eruption.

Oh, hey veracity, I also meant to say this...

Here in Louisiana, we have a lot of strange sightings and creepy things. From Bigfoot to Goatman (I've seen this and shared my story of that encounter on here) to witchcraft to demonism, we've got it all... True Blood was filmed here and Bon Temps, La is their mythical town which is actually the small town I live in inside Webster Parish. Being very rural, you hear things at night and see things. A lot of the scenes in Salem are filmed around here as well. Anyways, in the True Blood series, they have all those supernatural things from shapeshifters to vampires to werewolves to witches to fairies. I'll do some research to see if there have been any sighting around here.

it could be a past relative you have known playing with you child and making him laugh. I have seen strange things after my father died when I was 6 and my daughter sees the same strange things...blinking, sparkling lights that interact with me. I used to tell them what shape to make and they did it...all night long till I fell asleep.

My daughter at 3yo started fearing "sparkles" that came around her. Then and only then did it prompt this memory I had with "sparkles". I told her not to be afraid of them and to try and catch them. From time to time I see her reach out and catch one and I ask, are those the sparkles...yes.

I still do not have any idea what they were / are now or even if they are the same thing. I hope i didnt tell her to grab something bad ???

I remember mine were comforting, they changed color and shape on demand with thoughts in my mind.

That's always a possibility. I can remember events in my life before I was even a year old and i vividly recall being laid down for naps in the back of the cottage we lived in on my grandma's property in Shreveport. I wouldn't be tired but I knew I was supposed to be sleeping but in the corner of the room near the ceiling there was a boy with blond hair, he looked like an angel, that would always make me laugh and every time he put his finger over his mouth and said "Shh" I would stop laughing and close my eyes. My mom would immediately come down the stairs into the day room where my crib was and check on me. It never failed. I'm 38 now and I about a month ago, I told my mom this story and asked her if she remembered any of that. She said she remembers hearing me laugh and coming to check on me but I'd be asleep when she checked on me. That let me know it wasn't my imagination. She was shocked that I remembered that since I was only around 9 or 10 months old then. When I explained to her what the boy looked like, her jaw dropped and she covered her mouth. She showed me a picture of my grandpa's brother who had died in the early 20's of diphtheria when he was just 5 years old. I immediately got chills, that was the little boy that always talked to me in that cottage.

ETA: I never talked about it because to me, it wasn't a big deal and it all seemed normal because I was too young to know fear or that ghosts are supposed to be scary.

Another strange occurrence in my home. I was in the kitchen this time, at the sink. A bug flew in my face then off to the left. I jerked back a bit but...bc I believe now...kept my eye on it. It was black, definitely had butterfly/moth wings and definitely disappeared or dissolved into thin air.

I did not feel triggered, stressed or scared at all.

Has anyone had similar occurrences?

You know ive never believed in fairies and have always written them off as misidentified insects and birds.

But still the fact there are anecdotal accounts through out the ages on all continents it does make me wonder what folks are really seeing.

Maybe try to look a little closer, be more aware. We are raised to just write it off, you dont have to.
