I don't necessarily believe it's "white privilege" like I keep reading/seeing everywhere, but more so "white guy, who happens to have similar Stanford Athletics backgrounds with judge privilege" as being the biggest culprit... There are tens of thousands of rapes that happen each year, with sentences way longer than 6 months... The case like this one with Dbag Brock Turner are more the exception, and they don't happen often... at least I'd hope so, or I'd figure I'd being hearing more about light sentences, because I know rape/sexual assault isn't slowing down, unfortunately..

Are you saying that Trump has a point about the Latino judge?

It's rich privileged not white privileged.
Obviously the economic standings should be addressed as well.
I'm sure most of the cases had the cash for awesome defense teams.
You know how I know?
I got rail roaded and hit with felonies and locked up for nowhere near what I should have gotten and I'm white.
So get over yourself and stop blaming the world because your a failure.

Oh my word, read the room. You know this isn't the kind of thing the average ATS member is comfortable with.
Because acknowledging that you may have some sort of advantages in life you didn't have to earn is, like, the worse thing ever therefore it can't be possible. Admitting it makes you a socialist or something.

6 news articles by easily manipulated news companies shapes your opinion on this?
I'm not saying our justice system isn't flawed. In fact, there are a number of things I would like to see addressed in a reform of our criminal justice system..
However I think maybe you should find the data and form an opinion around that rather than a handful of news articles.

What about the ones who didn't do any time?
Kobe Bryant
Bill Cosby
Michael Jackson
R Kelly
Just off the top of my head...

Does the "Latino judge" see every rape case in the entire USA? Does that judge make sentencing decisions for every rape case?
No?
I fail to see the relevancy of that argument/example?
I found quite a few cases...
1) an Alabama police officer raped a woman with car trouble....he got 4 months...
2) a billionaire raped a 12 year old..6 months.
Maybe making you need BOTH to be Ritch and white to get away with just about anything....

Oh wow, leave it to MTV (they still exist?!) to actually have a pretty decent article on white privilege.

Do whites inherently get an advantage??or do blacks get picked on?
If it's that blacks get picked on, isn't "whiteprivledge" a bad way to describe it??
I think the left has had horrible marketing.. Taking important issues and choosing a headline that doesn't really fit the situation which allows it to be discounted, when it shouldn't....
Take BLM, if they had chosen "all lives matter" as their motto, where would the conservative media have turned???
But because all lives matter is inherently more true than black lives matter, the entire movement is ignored...
