What I did is bought a 10kg bag of flour. I'm gonna use it to make a large batch of hardtack. That I'll store for the end of the world or in case of a food shortage. Hard tack can last 50 yrs.

The found an old pirate treasure recently in s cave. They found with it some hardtack. analyzing it they determined that it was still ate able. And that's 300 yrs old.

Your thoughts???

You were also going to turn your car into a bathroom. Did you do that?

I've recently cut back on my flour intake- but I've got an easy 20lbs of the stuff lying around. Processed, white flour.

Can you make hard tack out of white flour? It's so processed I'd be surprised.

Would love an update including recipe, storage considerations, etc.

Do you really want to live through hell on earth if that happens? Struggling to survive day to day isn't worth being alive. I prefer being one of the first to go if SHTF. If I'm not one of the first to go and death is certain, all I need is a 5th of whiskey and a comfortable chair.

I would rather watch what unfolds on earth from the other side.

I would also rather die if the end of the world is coming, if i did survive then so be it and not going to prep for such an event.

If the world was really ending and had a chance to get into a bunker then yeah I'd take the offer.

All you have to do to prep is use your mind for a little bit. Think about all the things you don't know how to do, all the things you'd never get done all by yourself, how long that pathetic stock can possibly last.

If you wanna prep, you've gotta 'know' ... or you'll go broke trying.

Easier said than done. U try and ull realize how much u want to live. It's just that ur survival mechenizms are dormant at the moment. But dying isn't as easy as people think.

Ok that's true, we are programmed to survive for as long as possible.

All it is is that if the shtf I don't want to starve to death or have zero energy to even have a fighting chance. Such an easy prep and yet so vital if society was to implode. Also could be used as currency if the shtf

There may not be any leaves left on trees and a squirrel barbeque may not be possible if surface animals can't survive. You may have to get used to eating worms, ants and maggot stir fry on a daily basis. Add a little bit of the barbeque sauce and you may have a gourmet dinner!

End of world isn't really end of the world. End of the world you cannot even be prepare for it with out space technology. End of the world means the planet being destroyed. Preparing for end of the world is impossible for everyone at this rate except NASA. But, where the heck would they go? There isn't enough people in space to do a rebuild. There are no space stations to house thousands of people, etc.

What I find Ironic is that the companies selling all that "prep" gear and dried beans are investing in mutual funds.

What's that tell you?
