The Southern Baptist Church is the equivalent to Heaven's Gate. Both are radicals and used as extreme examples. But they don't control political parties and write laws for entire countries.

Hey, my local city would not allow this to open either if within 1000 feet of a school or church. Neither strip clubs, porn shops, smoke shops, "massage spas" , bars with a capacity for over 100 people, and bath houses.

I think it is an appropriate call to make. These are not family type businesses and should not be near these other places. I fact many cities and towns have these ordinances.

You should have grown up in Germany, where the 'Freikoerperkultur' [Nudist] movement is just a normal thing, it's everywhere. There are saunas galore and people walk around naked in front of their kids. There are sex shops in normal areas [Lots of Beate Uhse shops-I walked past one on my way to school] and nothing bad happens.

It is only as seedy as you make it to be.

That said, having seen more naked grown ups in my youth than I can count, I personally never liked it for myself. Not because I am a prude but I can't stand being naked.

They weren't "banned", they applied for an entertainment license and then withdrew the application after Muslims threatened them. NO ONE BANNED ANYTHING. This lady wrote a letter. It doesn't matter if it was "only a gay sauna" where real porn happens, or a porn shop, both would be disallowed from operating within 1000 feet of a school or church in many municipalities across the nation, including my own.

They should adopt these ordinances across the board in the municipality in question and this incident would never have happened.
