They won't be voting for Clinton...they will be voting against Trump.

This describes a lot of people.

Even non-Bernie supporters.

I did hear a whiny liberal commentator opine on Sunday that what this election is really about is NOTA; he showed stats to the effect that the "values" voters (didn't know there were any left) distrust and hold naught but disdain for either candidate and that they won't be voting.

He then opined that as result, whomsoever is elected will probably be elected with less than a total turnout of eligible voters of 50%, which he said means that whomsover wins will be hated by more people in the country than the number who supported the candidate.

Now, if that happens, and it just might................that might be the impetus needed for the Progressive Elites to push through some real reforms in how these elections are conducted, not that those reforms will do most of "us" any good, but they'll feel the heat to somehow change the process to make it at least look like the person elected gets some measure of a mandate and is seen as having been fairly elected to office.

ETA: Once in a while, my wife.............who deplores politics, comes out with a meaty zinger that really causes pause for thought. She said:
"The whole "president" thing is out dated; after this election, the next president to be elected won't be a politician or a show man, they will be a Military General elected in a race between two rival Military Generals".

I don't know what to make of that.

Some will, some won't. However it's clear that Trump will not get the Latino/Hispanic vote nor the Black vote nor the Women's vote and then there's the Never Trump GOPers. I feel less nervous about a Trump presidency.

Does it seem contrived, planned, scripted to you. Nobody can be that stupid...can they. It's like the Republicans are so used to losing...it's their comfort zone.

Gov. Gary gonna surprise everyone this time!!

Is it "racism" though? What specific things has he done or said that are racist?

I find his non-pandering pretty attractive.

This is the first election I've voted in. So, I'm not dedicated to one side. I feel very 50/50 actually. There are things I feel strongly about represented on both sides.

Non-pandering IS racism.

I always find this perception of Donald J. Trump amazing. You seem to have a fairly balanced view on the matter, would you mind answering a question?

How is it that what seems to be rude, sometimes abusive, half-truths is understood as "non-pandering" or "speaking one's mind"?

When ones mind is apparently filled with whiny, self-victimizing bile?

(I will acknowledge, I don't care for Candidate Donald J. Trump, even though I didn't mind him as a TV personality.)

It's way past time 'LATINO' got treated like Europeans, and Asians, and ever other group.

It really just bugs the hell out of me I have to press 2 for Irish when I'm on the phone.

There we go, let it all out.

It's got nothing to do with the any impropriety by the judge or the integrity of the American legal system does it? Grow a pair and say what you mean from the start. You want to elect an authoritarian strong man because you think he's going to mete out some long overdue "justice" that you believe some ethnic group has coming to it.

Trump is pandering to the white, male, pissed off American. It's working very well...It's just not enough to win the WH.

He knows this...he's not stupid...he has played his followers for chumps. For what reason....idk

I'm still not sure how this makes him worse than his competition. Trump made a few questionable statements despite never discriminating against non-whites in the past, Hillary has an actual history of racism.

If Trump had of even run a semi moderate campaign instead of the hateful divisive one...he could have had a chance but he blew it. Perhaps that was the plan...

Right!

Trump should have ran around saying he was gonna take all the evil rich peoples money, and ban guns, and create authortian LAW, and create taxes to save the planet.

Then the LEFT would absolutely LOVE HIM.

It ain't over until the fat lady signs as the saying goes.

This entire thread is based on an MSNBC reporter saying some aide said something? Again, where are the racist comments? What do I see? People getting beat up because they like a candidate.

Remember when the MSM was all up in arms because his campaign manager threw a woman to the ground? It was the worse thing since the death of her father. He stood behind someone until all the facts were in. He saw the tapes. He let it play out. Then, in the end, well, we all know what happened.

He has not said a racist thing this election. As far as the no women, no blacks, no hispanics he cannot win comment, well, that may be some but not all. I know a lot of people who were Democrats also, who will be voting for Trump. I think it is just a dream you people have. You see college aged minorities protesting but older minorities, who have jobs and are worried about the economy are saying a much different thing.

Believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see...then the picture can become clearer.

Again, ONE video of Trump truly being racist would end a lot of discussion but it does not exist....

Keep on spinning that hydrochrolo BULL SNIP.

US immigration LAWS.

Pay close attention to the Paige Act, and Chinese Exclusion Act

And the Emergency Quota Act.

But we all know Trump critics just love to IGNORE American history when it's inconvenient.

Then there is the whole 7 Amnesties in the last 30 years.

The Seven Amnesties Passed by Congress

But I don't expect American sovereignty to mean much to Trump critics.

I don't think so. I think Trump is actually bigoted as well as racist but whoever his advisors are gave him the last ingredient for the right wing trifecta to get the nomination... anti-PC (idiots who think they can't say whatever they want).

Do you ever get tired of being wrong? Not the same group. They're not even affiliated.

They share the same name and goals. Do you understand the historical relevance of the name "La Raza" and their actions?
