I for one have never said that washing hands before one's meal is problematic.
You chose a tone that implied that you were rather neurotic about other people not doing so.
Violet mirrored that.

I, for my part, just went with the flow.
Neither of you are disabled by worrying about it? Cool.

OP - I think it is more of a mental issue with you, and less of an actual health concern.

Our bodies are extremely complex, and we were NOT designed to have to put chemicals on our hands 10-15+ times a day just to feel 'safe'.

While it is scientifically proven that biological organisms can create sickness and disease in humans, studies have also shown that using hand sanitizer and sanitation wipes throughout the day isn't an healthier than not using them.

What IS important, for hygiene and health, is that we wash our hands with soap and water after using the restroom, and before eating meals.



As human beings, we aren't only meant to get dirty, we ARE dirt. We are carbon beings....and our bodies are mostly compromised of water, minerals, and proteins. It is natural to get dirty...and another thing studies have shown is the people who live the longest, by trade, are FARMERS. Farmers deal with dirt and # all day long....and are generally speaking the healthiest people on earth.
