That guy must have been eating a lot of puppies... or the golf people is feeding him (why would you need pigs when you have a gator ), as it seems its a sort of a pet in the golf curse

"He doesn't bother anybody and they don't bother him, he's like a mascot for the course, which is owned by Manatee County."

"He has been here for a very, very long time, he's not new at all. There have been guesses that he's 15 to 16 feet long," the five-year employee said. "The word has spread that this is a great place to come and play. He is the highlight, but we are worth the price too."

It will be all fun and games until some jackass lets their 3 year old get close which will then require someone to shoot the thing.

I saw a still from that clip the other day. It's even creepier to watch it amble around that sand trap. (Shudders)

They relocate or kill them down here if they are over 5 or 6 ft I believe.

Hey, but thanks for the informative response..that was worth reading.

Looks like they can't come onto private property to take nuissance gators without permission.
Otherwise it would be initiated by calls from concerned citizens.
