stream Bill Maher 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on all their television channels.

Jeebus! Have a heart, will ya?

You could at least give them some variety. Mix it up. Bill Maher, Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, and Sam Harris. That way, they have choice.

Ideas and beliefs come and go. Humans like us have been around for ~200 thousand years and Christianity's been there for 1% of it. Its heyday has passed and the same will happen to Islam.

There's a possibility that people are genetically predisposed to hold spiritual and/or religious beliefs so I don't see an atheistic world population evolving in the next few decades.

No!!!!

They need to be crushed physically and spiritually, this is a war after all. But hey, think of the fun we can have after it is over, going door to door, asking them if they found Jesus.

As an agnostic mostly atheist I highly doubt these horrible Christians torment you daily.

I live in the bible belt and can count 1 time a Christian tried to save me from my sinsurance

Islam will be the global majority soon

Then you're a lucky soul. I live in a town with a church on every corner, so to speak. Around here, they pass out flyers, knock on doors, preach on street corners, and/or assault you in the line at Walmart. Funny, I've never seen one Muslim do any of that.

Good point, Mr. Kandinsky.

I think atheists will likely remain the minority in the world. We do seem predisposed as a species to believe in something, and it very well could be genetic, or maybe epigenetic, if I understand that word correctly.

Islam is 2% of the population.

I meant that I don't see atheism ever becoming the majority stance among humans. There will likely always be some religious system or faith.

I've lived in the south and the North and you're exaggerating or you look for it

So have I, and I think you're downplaying it, or purposefully being disingenuous.

Now that we have that settled, is it such a stretch to admit that neither of us represent the total experience of everyone in the country, and some of us may see more proselytizing, while others see less?

Yes, I very much agree and I know that Christians preach but that isn't my main point. atheists also preach, over opinionated and Islam is horrible to minority groups and has government theocracy in their religion

people man, just people

sh$$ won't change once Christianity is the minority just a different annoying group of people will take over

Islam is a far bigger juggernaut anyways

Your constant outrage towards Christians is so curious, because you'll never be seen doing the same towards Muslims.

The first 30 years of my life wasn't steeped in the lies and dogma of Islam. In addition, I have NEVER had a Muslim call me a "heathen", "sinner" of "hater" or insist that I was going to their "hell" when I die. In fact, the Muslims I've known and worked with (and that's a large number) have never tried to convert me, and have been very accepting of me and my beliefs, even inviting me to their homes to meet with and dine with their families. They've been nothing but friendly and cordial to me. No Muslim has ever shown up at my door warning that my sins are going to lead me to hell.

It's a very different experience for the Christians I've met in my life.

So, I don't find my position curious at all, but quite logical.

In fact you'll be found defending them!

Defending them for what? Practicing their religion? I have defended Christians for that, too. I have never defended either Christians or Muslims for violence, hatred or anything negative they've done to others 'in the name of' their religion. I have never defended Muslims for forcing their religion on others, forcing their beliefs into law, or for any 'holier-than-thou' attitude that they may have.

In fact, I have stated how many valuable lessons I've learned about love, acceptance and judgment from Christianity, so I'm pretty sure the point you're trying to make - doesn't really make sense.

atheists also preach, over opinionated

Honestly, out here in the real world. I've found few atheists that preach, or are over opinionated(outwardly). Most say little, and are very tolerant of peoples beliefs. But yes, you do have that element that is more anti-theist/anti-religion that are much more outspoken. Many of us were once Christian or another religion, and we see things in religion(especially Abrahamic) that the average atheist doesn't or can't. That's why we're critical.

Islam is horrible to minority groups and has government theocracy in their religion

Islam is approximately 700-800 years old? When Judaism and Christianity were that age, they were just as bloody and committed just as many atrocities against humanity as Islam. Even now, while Western Christianity is very tame in comparison to what it once was, we have Christians in places like Africa still stoning people for a variety of sins, and burning "witches" to death. But of course, the media doesn't play that up like they do Islam.

sh$$ won't change once Christianity is the minority just a different annoying group of people will take over

It will change, but not necessarily for the better. The only real change will come when those religions who vehemently believe that you must be like them, or suffer the consequences, are gone from our species. Those religions either need to die, or change their ways drastically. And the latter isn't likely to happen.

Islam is a far bigger juggernaut anyways

Right now it is. But in times past, it was Judaism and Christianity. Radical Islam is in for a very rude awakening. Once those who are using them as part of an agenda to get what they want, are done with them, the carnage isn't going to be pretty. They will suffer greatly at the hands of the very people egging them on right now.

We did tell you what we think, and now (ever so predictably) you're pouting.
Get over yourself.

What is a "demonologist", anyway? That's what you fancy yourself as, right? A self-styled "demonologist"?

Hey - you posted the article. I pointed out that the title was misleading - which it was. You might have had better luck if you yourself had acknowledged that FACT before typing your little pity-party invitation and then ditching the thread.
Where the hell have you been? You hung the sign on the door. The audience arrived, and you were nowhere to be found.

Who's fault is that?
How does that make us 'haters'?
Maybe the point that is proven is that only nutters think we are haters. Hate takes too much energy. I save "hatred" for things (and people) I honestly wish would evaporate....oh wait.........

anyway; for my part, I'm only trying to disabuse you of your fantasies. And protect your grandkids from you. I don't hate you, I pity you.
