Cyber people

Am I the only person that sees stuff this way?

When I travel the net, no matter the topic, most sites seem like ghost towns. Considering claims of billions on the net, I would think there'd be tons of forums with hundreds of thousands of people chatting, but instead it seems more like less than 1% of those billions talk.

Of what few people there seems to be, a huge portion of them seem to just want to argue, provoke and insult the people who discuss anything interesting.

I'll use a site called 4ch... As an example of why I get annoyed and am starting to believe many people are retarded. The people seem to get along and flatter each other so long as there showing each other their genitsls and being perverted. But you go into non perverse forums and it's like everything is infested with insults.

I've always been interested in sci-Fi, technology, aliens and ufos, but such forums all over the net seem to be ruined and populated with people more interested in finding somewhere to hang out and chat rather than discussing the topics. Many replies to almost every thread seem to try and derail the conversation. There's people who seem to try and politely insult others for some reason.

I spent many years just lurking and reading but as soon as I tried to talk and find like minded people it felt like almost anything I'd do would be attacked. Now I'm at the point where if I feel I'm being slightly insulted I'll just spew insults at others.

i feel like I'm stuck in bizarro universe on a fake internet made to irritate people.

OP, how about you start your own forum and moderate it the way you see fit.

There is nobody like minded. The world would be boring if everyone thought the same. This is the internet. It's fantasy, nothing is real. The information is skewed 98% of the time. The truth is hard to know. It was a great tool to make use of.
Every tool has its good and bad. It's how the people who use it, determines if it becomes either one.

Something is really really wrong what it is I'dont know . ATS/internet/the world is just different than it used to be.

People constantly attempt to arouse negative emotions from others over the net. It shows the truth of society, how much hatred we have for our own species, how much disgust we have in our hearts for other humans, all because of a prejudgment that is wrong.

How ignorant is it to believe in something untrue, and verbally punish somebody because of that belief?
