I went through a patch where I listened to a bunch of archived shows, but then got sufficiently annoyed at George Noory half-assing interviews and getting super excited about Linda Moulton Howe (or whoever was presumably paying big bucks to push their garbage for another week.)

The sound of Linda's godawful chainsmoking voice while she puts words into some whacko's mouth time after time, or Whitley Streiber gushing on about the latest nonevent in his life and attributing supernatural cause, or Noory doodling in a notepad while a Top Secret Government Whistleblower talks about time travelling to the land of the dinosaurs put the nails in that particular coffin for me. It stopped being "entertaining, but probably ludicrous" and just went to Hell.

I want to listen, I always fall asleep.

Is there a free way to listen to each show after the fact?

Well I guess I could try and record a show myself, but I was thinking more of an online source.

I only listen to the older shows on youtube or that i've downloaded. The newer ones are horrible.

Since Art left.... well my incentive just faded, not to mention the Atlantic time slots that took the broadcast into the AM hours. The last serious bit of listening I did was Art with Mel's hole. I have no opinion really about George. If you allow George to shine in his rarified atmosphere, and separately Art to shine in his, I see no problem, but homogenizing them at this late point would be counter productive. Each has their own charm and personality, and are different individuals, so give each their space.

But, naa, it's too late of a time slot, although often times I'm up at those hours.

Remember when George Noory was going on for about a week about burning his mouth on a pizza roll?

I began listening to Art Bell in 1991, had to pull in distant & powerful stations for sections of shows...
search the dial again and listen to another topic more often than not

moved out West to AZ for 7 years & had clear listening beginning around 11PM (other hosts)

had to return back to SC and was taken aback that the local Talk Radio station carried C2C, AM starting @ 1AM

been staying tuned in to edgy radio since 1991 (to 2016 makes 25 years)... of course I missed some shows due to accident / hospitalization or other stuff...

also listen to Radio Tuna, the 'experimental' & electronic (what I called Space-Music) Psy-Trance genre

Art Bell, did you ever open the Manila Envelope I sent to Pahrump, NV with the '48' zip code back just before 9-11 & the Catholic Church sex scandals...& the 'code' name I gave to prove it was I who sent the info ?

I liked to listen on my drive home when I was working nights. What i hated though was the commercials. I had it timed pretty well. He would talk for 15 mins then have 15 mins of commercial and a partial song.

1. Not anymore. It sucks.

2. Too many commercials, like Limbaugh.

3. I have been kicking around becoming an Insider in order to listen to the old shows, which were almost uniformly excellent.

Used to listen , until Art hung it up...Still play the old PC game Prey and listen to the broadcast excerpts that were in-game

Yeah..I heard it last night. I went to bed not long after the Hockey game...to read my new John Sandford book Extreme Prey..and after I started dropping the book on my chest a few times ...I gave up on that..and turned on the radio to hear C2C while I slept...I most always sleep to a talk show..

Anyway...Linda Molton Howe was on talking about Nordics and Reptilian aliens.. they have been messing with us for years she said..blah blah blah...anyway ..I had to get up and go to the bathroom and sure enough there was a big old Gecko ..right there watching me on the wall. I asked it if it was here to take me or sell me car insurance...it said ..nothing. I finished my business and told the gecko to eat bugs ...and went back to bed.

I listen and a subscriber. They seem to be rut right now in show quality. I usually listen everyday during my commute, but the show topics have not been very good the past couple of weeks imho.

Noory's probably a really nice guy, but he has destroyed the show.

It is B O R I N G .

I do listen but since 2012 they have gone down hill. I know they must have partnered with John Wallach who is a Dr/nutritionist so either that guy or someone who is working with them talk once a month around optimal health which translates to one big infomercials.

Unfortunately some of his best guests have moved on either through death, banned or simply do not have material.

Some of his guests are blatantly just making up stuff or piggy backing on what seems like popular trends just to reafirm popular belief.

The worst part of the show is usually the callers..the primary host has a policy not to call bull**** despite the lack of scientific evidence...

I cant see this lasting another ten years...

I do however listening to John Hogue and another gentlemen who talks about world affairs..

Linda Howe always sounds like she's reading from a teleprompter..very robotic and her taped interviews seldom excite..
