From BBC's Horizon: Global Dimming

Dear ATS Forum members..

Have just finished watching a truly disturbing science program on the BBC's Horizon series ..this installment was about global dimming and global warming.
I strongly urge each and every one concerned with the enviornment and the future to check this link out...or to type in 'global dimming'in google to se what else comes up.
The short story:scientists have measured an overall reduction in the amount of sunlight reaching the earth and determined it is 10% less than it was in the 50's..pan-evaporation measurements dating for over 100 years confirm this to be a global as opposed to regional phenomenon.
Dimming is caused by pollution and jet streams.
Take away the dimming and our earth is actually cooking under greenhouse gasses...that in fact, if the green party and ralph nader policies were to prevail, the minute we cleaned up our skies we would fry....
