Most people recognize this from the movie or say it is the bridge in Computer Blue. Although honestly it was only partly used there and credited to John L Nelson as such. But the whole piece was titled Father's Song and was included in the sheet music book of Purple Rain. And was intended for piano only.

But what does those factoids have to do with making a thread? Nothing, what inspired me to share was the recollection that it was Father's Song that I whistled throughout high school, echoing down the hallways and stairwells whenever I had a moment of zen or scored some points with a girl. For the few that heard me, it was a little haunting unless they knew it was a good sign.

A quasi-theme song for a moment during those teenaged years, I suppose. But my question is, did anyone else have a go to song for moments such as that? Something that only others that knew you knew that it meant something was up?

"Daddy Dont you walk so fast"-Wayne Newton
"Color him Father"-The Winstons
"My Dad"-Paul Petersen(the Donna Reed Show?)
