Doesn't matter. In another two weeks, y'all can have at it. It will not affect me or mine a bit

In the end it wouldn't matter.

I agree. The bathroom issue is really not issue to me. At least not one I am willing to have a heart attack over. This one though...

I agree that another area for everyone would be more appropriate. At least then no one could complain and people would have a choice.

You touch on an interesting point.

Many of the same folks pushing for this nonsense and just telling teens to essentially, get on with it and get used to it, are the same ones who attack the glamour/model industry for glorifying how a girl/woman should look, are the same ones pushing the "all sizes are beautiful, fat is beautiful" agenda, are the same ones who took up the cause for all the teen girls struggling with body issues related to conforming to what they're told is attractive.

And now....they're suggesting those same girls just take it off in front of biological males, and vice versa, during those same teenage years where they already are well beyond self conscious.

Locker rooms have showers and changing area.

The media 'forgets' the showers and changing areas. I am sure it's purely by accident, and the fact you asked the question that they want you to be lead to, is just a kawikydink

You'll have a choice of either getting over it, or being arrested for not being accepting.

They don't understand that. They think that we do not understand their concerns for some reason.

There was a man I aptly named three quarter wood, who used to follow me around in the gym, every where I'd go there he would be and ultimately into the sauna with me, I ended up going to the staff and telling them they needed to take care of this, and they said," sir there's nothing we can do about it" .. So he followed me around again, in his usual routine staying close to me and then in the sauna right behind me, at that point I confronted three quarter wood, and stood up and told him," you need to turn the # around and get out of here right now" and he said in the most effeminate way," well there's no need for violence" he ended up leaving and he didn't follow me afterwards, but can you imagine the three quarter wood males that will absolutely do this to females who aren't as experienced in dealing with this kind of thing? I know it's an anecdote, but you'd have to be a fool or agenda ridden to not see the writing on the wall. America is so sideways in this day and age.

A person does not have transgender phobia, homophobia, genitalia phobia, or any other kind of phobia just because they don't want laws dictating this issue.

We as a society should dictate what we will accept and not accept. WE set the norms and taboos and mores.

It is wrong for a handful of politicians....or one supreme narcissist....to decide these types of societal matters.

On the other hand...
Heh...
What about the girls which would be quite interested in the male genitalia? They may decide in greater numbers to take full advantage of the situation and play with that which is exposed to them further confusing the already troubled transgender individual which wants to be one of the girls but us forced to the realization he us not?
This is all rather retarded...
Make new bathrooms for transgender and let them be by themselves until they come to a realization...
If they were not born hermaphrodite this shouldn't be an issue for them...
For if they were not born hermaphrodite... I am forced to the conclusion that this is a form of mental identity disorder as real as eating disorders brought about by the same sort of identity crisis...
And now society is doing nothing but encourage it...

Here's a link to the actual editorial. Not the one in the Washington Times, referencing it.

Read what it actually says in last paragraph, without the hype.

This is what the Obama administration nudged the rest of the country toward Friday. Yes, the thought of male genitalia in girls’ locker rooms – and vice versa – might be distressing to some. But the battle for equality has always been in part about overcoming discomfort – with blacks sharing facilities, with gays sharing marriage – then realizing that it was not nearly so awful as some people imagined. www.charlotteobserver.com...

This ticks me off to the limit. It is not---NOT---the same as whites and blacks sharing facilities. It isn't even the same as two gays hooking up.

For god's sake!! Our president is off-the-charts crazy---loony---psychotic---obsessed.

If Obama and all the other weirdos want to push that silly notion, the people need to push back. No. It is no way no how the same!!

I agree with Obama and those who move Equal Treatment forward.

I disagree with you.

I know Europe can handle co ed bathrooms etc but I think American culture is not able to handle this change at this time. The way Europeans treat nudity is so much different than American and Canadian culture.

So no grand children in your daughter's future? Shame you made that decision.

These social changes affect everyone and that's one reason they should be well thought out. See the big picture instead of focusing on one small part. The discomfort of 353,000,000 for the comfort of MAYBE 50,000 people is logical in this new United States. NOT!

Never mind it isn't a choice made by the majority but shoved down our throats by the few.

Like I said before.

The only way to end this issue is to have everyone go to different bathrooms and locker rooms now. Then people will either see that there is no issue or that it is a huge issue.

Make a stand, while you sit and pee!
