Very possible. Not many airlines teach upset training to their crews, although that's increasing as time goes on. If they felt they had to make a hard turn to try to avoid something, they could have lost control accidentally.

A flight number is a route Number, so MS804 is paris - Cairo, not always the same plane though. Now it will change to something like MS805 or MS8041 depending on what route numbers are availble.
I believe the numbers to be coincidental, but choosing a Flight number would actually be very easy if you wanted it to match a set number of days.
