I've had cutthroats for years. Not really expensive ones, well, one that my wife bought me...
Never get a shave like it from anything else, though you do need privacy and you need to keep on top of stropping it (50 each side before a shave is fine).

I still use a multiblade razor in the shower or when I'm rushing, but whenever I have 10 minutes spare I do a proper job and it's great. (I must have saved about 300 quid since getting my cutthroat)

My cutthroat did just that, I had warm blood on my hands by the third stroke. Tissue paper placed on the cuts lol. Never again using it!

I did that once trying to be like my grandpa when I was little, I got up to the sink grabbed his straight razor and started to shave then I cut myself and apparently I even yelled "dammit" just like Grandpa then I started bleeding and put toilet paper on it and ran out to show him I shaved too.

Hell yeah, lol I was an adventurous little boy trying to do everything he did including stealing his farm tractor, the truck, and cook dinner, shaving was only the beginning =D If it wasn't bolted down I would always find a way.
