Do you shave? How annoying is it that your expensive Gillette razor blades only last one week!

After going thru 6 blades in one month I have decided to order a new blade, here it is.

I am going retro.

What brand do you save with and are you annoyed or happy with the amount of shaves you get?
Do you rince the blade with cold or hot water? I have found rinsing my blade under cold water helps extend its life.
Please add in shaving tips.

No electric razors allowed!!!

Is this a product ad?

To answer your question I use cheap bics, trim close with a beard trimmer first. Cold water.

I use the expensive ones on the jewels though

These "trans" bathroom topics are getting a little over the top of late.

Next there will be someone telling us it is against the rules for men to menstruate!

Norelco electric razor. although i've read you can resharpen throw away bics by rubbing them with the blade, not against, on your jeans. . .

Greetings-

Want to save a ton of $$$ ? No, I'm not trying to sell You anything. The trick is to clean the razor off with running water and then dip the razor into rubbing alcohol, a prescription bottle works fine.. The hard water dulls the blades so when done rinsing w/the alcohol put the razor in a dry drawer..

The 'cheap-os' from the "As Seen On T.V." aisle at CVS™ /Walgreens™ have a blk./yellow razor that is advertised to last 1 year. You can get 3 years out of these if You rinse them afterwards.

If a Female this incarnate, You have to remove them from the shower. Follow the above instructions.

I got 11 months out of 1 razor and I shave My head and face..

Buy YourSelf something You want..

Edit: I'd also ONLY use coconut oil in lieu of the skin drying crap they'll $ell You in the "skin care aisle" (full of alcohol laden crap) Keep hydrated.

Multi blade razor thingy, with them special 'ablative' moisturizing patches, under the shower, but my preference in using it is for the beard trimmer part. I also don't go through them at a rate of blade per week, that sounds excessive.

I do find proper shave foam (after washing my face first) gives the best shave. Also tried shave oil which was good but both expensive and not 'magical'.

I haven't thought to use coconut oil as moisturizer, but it sounds good to me.

I have aftershave but I never use it, too astringent and most perfumes really 'get up my nose'.

Maybe these will get You off the fence?

www.alzheimers.org.uk...

www.alzheimers.net...

healthimpactnews.com...

Drink a mug of warm-HOT water w/some lemon first thing in the a.m. and see what that does for You...

I'll bet that astringent crap is loaded w/alcohol??? Then when You perspire You lose that water. Using coconut oil and sweat that water stays with You...

I have a Gillette handle but use the female brand razors. I like the self lubrication on them.
They last for a good 8-10 shaves.
Glad to have picked up the tip of sharpenin on the jeans. Gonna try that one out

No no, I was just swinging by since it was you. I actually use a Quattro for women. But I'm tired of buying the refills, as I find them over priced.

Carry on and pretend I was never here.
