The trouble with this move by Obama is that State and Local taxes pay for schools.

But the Department of Education" makes the rules.

So you have LOCAL taxes paying for schools, but FEDERAL regulatory agencies with the final word.

That is in a sense 'taxation without representation'. So if the Federal Government will pull rank, local people should be able to not fund their 'mandates'. If Obama pulls funding, the People should answer right back.

If these mentally ill people get to choose whatever locker room they want, that means EVERYONE gets to pick whatever locker room they want. Otherwise we're dealing with inequality.

Honestly, showering and undressing with a bunch of other dudes makes me uncomfortable. I'd feel MUCH better taking showers with women, which matches my sexual orientation.

Oh but my comfort doesn't matter, only those victims groups who are being used by the regressive left for political reasons.

I am a victim of sexual assault. I am not comfortable with men having access to women's restrooms and locker rooms period. Anywhere. Done. I don't care if it's Target or an elementary school. It's not ok. It's not ok. It's not F%^&*NG! OK! If they enforce this at my daughters school I will pull her out of public education. We're done. We are catering to a tiny minority of the population while endangering half of the population. I don't care what mental gymnastics you want to contort your logic into to try to tell me that's not an issue but it is (1 in 4 women and you know damn good and well what statistics I am talking about). Also, my comfort level and the comfort level of (if we go by the above statistics regarding sexual assault) about 1 in 4 women all of a sudden does not matter. It is completely discounted and it's crap. I am a feminist as well and there are too many people talking out both sides of their mouths on this one.

A 33-year-old man has been ordered held without bail, accused of choking an 8-year-old girl unconscious in a public restroom in the South Loop.

Police said the girl became separated from her mother inside a store near Roosevelt and Canal on Saturday, and went into the restroom.

Reese Hartstirn allegedly followed the girl in, and choked her until she passed out. Her mother heard her daughter scream, and walked in to find Hartstirn carrying the girl into a stall, police said.
