It may just be like I indicated in another thread; that Trump is starting to surround himself with GOP insiders now only because that was the deal he worked out with Priebus (sp).

Priebus stated that Trump wouldn't get the help of the GOP, ie, their databases and support staff, if he snubbed the party.

So maybe Trump is just appeasing them with these appointments.

I dont know if thats the case or not. Just speculation.

What makes you think Christie will be VP?

Christie is leading the Transition Team. I don't see anything about VP as of now.

He will put together a team to help Trump transition from the campaign to the presidency.

Seems plausible.

He did say he's a united so maybe he's grabbing ibsiders for this purpose.

We don't know yet as far as im concerned HSS not an insider but having ibsiders is a good way to get things done.

You can see why Christie would want to be attached to Trump. He has nothing lose. His political career is dead, a 30% approval rating in his own state. Nationally he is a joke. The question is why would Trump want this guy anywhere near him? And why would he want this guy putting together his administration? The only reason I can see is that anybody who thinks they have any sort of political future do want to be a part of this train wreck. Christie filling Trumps administration seems like it would only upset Trumps supporters and do nothing to bring in new support. I am not one for wild conspiracy's but, sometimes seeing the terrible choices Trump makes is just enough to make me wonder if he really is a Clinton plant.

What makes me think he will be the VP you ask.

Well, if you read the link I posted it says that it is likely. Did you read the link?

I did. And "seen as a potential" is an opinion. I have seen the same thing said about many others as potential VP picks. This does not mean that Trump has made any decisions or announcements.

Its possible that he is letting Christie do this as source to access the insiders. Trump will still maintain control. And there are reports that Trump's son-in-law is actually running the show on the Transition team.

Jumping to conclusions maybe?

No where does it say he's been selected as the VP.. man you all talk some total nonsense sometimes..

I'd say he has been appointed to this transition team because Trump doesn't want him as VP.

just calm down and take a breath!

Is this a "wish fulfillment" type of thing? He can't beat either of the Dem candidates.

Trump Christie 2016

It is predictable. Trump owns casinos and Christie is all about gambling.

Christie was at the Trump rally here in PA, and he seemed to be enjoying himself.

Not my kind of guy though. I call it "scumbag in a suit". No offense intended.

The smartest job seekers in Trump's new administration will learn Chris Christie's favorite brand of donuts, and bring a couple dozen fresh ones to the interview.
