Well cool! I'm not clear on who is doing the harvesting. But you see it as a good thing? Do you think the Others are somehow in charge of that for humanity?

This thread is an outstanding thought exercise, classic ATS, and a perfect dose of speculation for a cloudy Sunday afternoon waiting for the NBA playoffs to start.

Your idea about how they may communicate freaking the average person out seems to have some basis in the literature and lore. I can think of several reports I've read over the years where people claimed to have experienced something like their mind being taken over or "flooded" and a sense of control loss. The churches have always classified anything like that as demonic possession, likely because it's good for their business in many ways.

But what if it really was Gork just saying "Hi"? How would the recipient of said greeting be able to tell?

One of the big motivators for me through the years has been the fact that I don't know what I don't know. My attempts to fill that void with knowledge usually starts with some serious speculation which gives me a jumping off point to begin the research from.

Your intuition and imagination are obviously well developed and I think your experience with your son has given you marvelous insight most of us will never have.

I'm not adverse to the idea that either mechanical or biological "flesh suits" might be used by some of the (as I call them) "plasma civilizations" when visiting Earth and interacting here.

But I don't believe that's a common thing. I am only quasi-convinced of one single case where that might be true, and that involves a strange subculture of (apparently) Romany / Asian heritage people's who are (apparently) "up to something" quite strange.

I'm willing to entertain various creative ideas..

But due to my own experience and research, all this "nuts and bolts ufo and alien stuff", in the form it's being force fed to us repeatedly, is IMHO pure bunk.

I don't know. Obviously. But you've put together some highly interesting thoughts on the matter.

I had never considered the 'soul' issue until I read what Delonge had to say, and then... the inevitable pondering ensued...

But what if it's true? It's the soul indeed they are after? Not to steal, but to figure out what it is and how can they get one.
If they have some magical way, for example, of seeing into dimensions that we can't see, or are aware of truths that we are unaware of, (let's hope) then perhaps they have made certain observations of us upon our dying.

Maybe they hang out in hospitals, unbeknownst to us and are able to sense or even see energy, spirit, or a soul leaving our bodies, and are aware this doesn't occur with them. Or has a different outcome.

Perhaps they covet that somehow, and are studying it. Of course if they should be trying to somehow steal, reassign, repurpose, or somehow confiscate our essence, then what's left to say? BAD ALIENS. VERY BAD. We shall make soul stealing illegal at once!

~~~ The repeated abductions have always hit me as strange, I mean a few samples of DNA from any living creature on Earth, and they should be able to reproduce as many humans, cows, whatever, as they want. And the whole 'soul' thing sounds a little too close to scientology, frankly.

So as I said at the beginning of my post, I don't know. But it's interesting to think about!

Perhaps my conspiracy dial is set all the way to 11, but I think there are certain subjects that are forbidden; there are men in black moderators with a vested interest in keeping the information we are seeking in a few private supernatural lock boxes.

Hm. My own "flesh suit" is quite the reality-maker! It takes fields of information and coverts them into strawberries and honeysuckle in my yard...AND it has a way to replicate other flesh suits BUILT IN! Genius!!!!



Here I am riding along in my bio-suit, in the middle of this AMAZING albeit challenging experience. I guess someday I'll have to let it go and go back to tell everyone what happened. I wonder if The Others have "flesh suits" of a similar nature?

I have to say I had a very vivid dream of this very nature.

I was picked up by some men in suits (not MIB) and taken to the DC area and down into this cavernous underground "hanger" type place with those cheap built-in square offices you could look down on as you head down metal stairs into the dark. In one of the offices, a chartreuse skinned "alien" with big black eyes, etc. and a very nice green and white satin-looking one piece with a fancy insignia was sitting on a chair surrounded by men-with-guns.

I was brought in to "talk" to him. I don't know why. Anyway, I look at him and WHAM! I am smacked upside the brain with a painfully intense array of images/emotions/layers of meaning in a blast that was sort of like getting mentally tazered. Ouch!

So I had to, dizzily, parse out from that one second's worth of data 1) I am very frustrated, 2) I am tired of people being afraid of me/pointing guns at me, 3) I am here but I could leave at any time if I wanted to, 4) you've got to be kidding me this is ridiculous, 5) pictures of a whole bunch of things I couldn't hold onto but that told some sort of story. 6) he was someone important with some kind of important message. Then I woke up. Darn.

I remember wanting "him" to stop, to slow down, to not give me so much information at once. Anyway... Such stuff are my dreams made of!!

I told my good friend the dream and she said it sounded like maybe he (it felt like a 'he' for lack of a better word) was "yelling" at me, like we yell at deaf people in the hope they might hear us.

I honestly don't know either. I do wonder if making them into some sort of soul-eating monster benefits someone? If that's what they do, then I agree, BAD ALIENS!

I think they are capable of messing with us. I think it is possible that our own cultural essence and concepts and language make it easy for us to convert anything that is "Other" into something to be feared. It would be easy for the powers that be to make us very afraid of Others in general - we are wired that way.

We'd also tend to freak out if they set up bases in the oceans and that sort of thing. I mean, really, get your own planet already! Doing that would be considered an act of war in our human ways of thinking.

I just don't want to see Armageddon come because of a misunderstanding or something.

Just when we think we may have a little of this figured out we realize we have less tangible information then we started with. That seems to be where the powers that be are right now.

How do our governments explain to people that the experiences they are having are real but there isn't anything they or anyone else can do about it? If it is validated does it increase the occurrences? I am seriously of the belief that most people have had some type of experience and when you really get people to open up and talk about things little bits of information start clicking together.

It is an amazing topic and there is always room for fresh ideas, god only knows how many times over the last twenty years my ideas of the topic has changed

Well, I thought I'd heard of a few not-so-cool human cases, but I'm not sure, personally if that's not something other than the Others. (Let's just say humans kill a crap ton more humans than any otherworlders ever did - unless they engineered the plague or some other virus we don't know about...)

I left that possibility open, as well as others. That would be generally classified as BAD but atypical. I think it's good that its atypical.

I think the government is at a point where they might need to tell us before we figure it out on our own. And there isn't too much they can do about it, I don't think. I know people see and experience things - not everyone - but enough for it to be something to be taken seriously. I've had my own!

I'm slowly developing ideas and always willing to add new information into the mix.

I know, I feel the same way. We might have a "I wish I didn't know now, what I didn't know then" moment. It could be bad -- if we learned our governments have been negotiating and buying them off for decades, to keep them from __________..... (fill in the blank)

I speculate that the Others interest in us has something to do with our reincarnation without recollection. I agree that They don't reproduce as we do; they inhabit cloned or created forms. I think we were/are they - but somehow we are stuck in this reincarnation cycle; and they are trying to genetically modify us so that we can recall our previous incarnations and/or have more control over future incarnations. That way eventually they can stop having to clone and create forms to inhabit in order to retain their memories, experiences, and work- since human reproduction is much simpler and more efficient.
