Do we Rely too much on Hollywood Propoganda in its Films for our Reasoning?

I can't help noticing an increase in the number of references being taken from films people have been watching being used today. I know its natural because most of us love moves but are we at the stage where we are taking them as a form of information that's true?

Is there a more sinister propaganda at work in films today?

In the thread Watching our world Burn the example of the Matrix machines and their ability to feed off us was used.

Its not the point about whether the matrix exists which is still on the theory sheet, but its the inferred influence of control over us that Hollywood puts forward almost as though we are being conditioned to expect this form of control over us some day.

How could it not be? You can't count the number of dystopian blockbusters that have come out in the last twenty years. Granted, some proposed futures are more nefarious than others, but I really can't think of a single one that shows the world to be a better place.

For me though, the more I'm conditioned for control, control, control, the more I lean toward control, alt, delete.

Of course, propaganda doesn't spread evenly across any spectrum.

What bothers me is that although sic fi especially has been the bringer of new ideas and sometimes what you see on the screen does appear in the future, it seems that its very quietly becoming people's terms of reference and when thou think its based on fantasy etc is that such a good term of reference.

You are quite right we watch films like they're going out of fashion especially in our house but the lines are drawn between what is possibly a future and what is hopefully not. I know you rule out being manipulated as I hope I do, but for a lot of especially younger people, I wonder if that is so or are they blindly going down the fox hole they are being craftily manipulated down and does it affect their expectations?

As far as the kids go, I think it is full on conditioning.

Conditioning by entertainment, education, environment and peers.

I don't believe the up and coming generation will be okay. There is almost no fight in them. Not that I see anyway. They seem beaten before they've even entered the game.

Fortunately for me, I gave up on children before trying to make one. The best decision I've ever made.

Good point which I have wondered over many times, the only way it to cut through. Yes there is programming going on, but if we see through the plot we can use it. Its a language after all, we need to adapt it in to everything else we do. Also, if we search out the basic programmes we are freed from their sub conscious manipulations. I used "training day" in my last post, fits great for what I had to say. Ia reply to: Shiloh7

I agree and Hollywood has it to a tee. I think we are all worrying about the up and coming generations because they are being so influenced to accept the propaganda that people who fund films want got over. People seem to think if its on film then its either happened or going to happen. With the glamour of huge productions history or the future is painted as so real its hard for people to consider it might all be wrong or merely there to convince them its right.

With the worship of celebrities, some even tend to think Oh if so-and-so made that film he/she believed in it so it must be right - he/she even gives to charity or represents some huge thing as an emissary or whatever and so would't deceive me. With the manipulation coming from across the board i our lives and the reliance on Wiki instead of a good encyclopaedia you are probably right - we are doomed.

Yes, Bobaganoosh raised the question of its affect on our children and I mentioned my grand daughter. There are a huge number of kiddies who are being put in front of the CD or streamed programmes daily and I wonder how munch reality occurs to their little brains or ever gets explained to them. Its a brilliant way to get at kids during their formative years.

Hollyweird is where I work and I can tell you the messages portrayed in movies are like what you said. Hollwood could take the word Love and make it Evil. So Live is Evil. Evol is Love.

Some people ask who the hell is behind Hollywood?

[Maximus looks at images of his wife and son]
Juba: Can they hear you?
Maximus: Who?
Juba: Your family. In the afterlife.
Maximus: Oh yes.
Juba: What do you say to them?
Maximus: To my son - I tell him I will see him again soon. To keep his heels down while riding his horse. To my wife... that is not your business.

There's no one left to fight.
There's always some one left to fight.

After he just conquered germania.

Flags are awesome... And so are the old men who founded them and poised them.
Who saved them from being conquered... And who would never rest nor sleep til all was at his feet. Capturing flags is no easy thing. But the more you capture... the more rested he becomes.
It's a cold world. Go get him another blanket. Or two or three. Or a hundred.

Then Hollywood would fear you...

Auguries and Method of Divination. Augury and divination by lot no people practise more diligently. The use of the lots is simple.

I say 1000 blankets.

Like your location La La Land except Hollywood isn't La La Land any more. The Jews will come up as the set answer despite Google googling their sites to try to prevent this simply because historically it was an area that Jewish people were allowed to work in. If anyone ever looks into their history this comes up.

Thanks for your input. Do you think if this is exposed and people question the manipulation it will change? I have to admit that the level of talented actors is getting very low and we need new blood into the starring roles. Some of the actors are so ugly especially if you compare them to men making films in the 1950s - 1990s even. They portrayed a level of masculinity and vulnerability that is lost of most of the card board actors promoted by Hollywood today.

Oh I am on your side, the talent now went down hill, the 50's - 90's Hollwood had the best talent. Now there are 1000's of people trying to make it, some of the ones who make it I say 👎👎👎.

Actors will do anything to get a role. Including making the good ones look bad.

A crazy time my friend.

I dont think we rely on it as much as we are consciously and moreso ...unconsciously...influenced by what we watch and see.

Simple example? Watch a horror flick...have a nightmare. I know thats just a simple analogy, but a good one.

We definitely are influenced, and I believe a lot of it is intentional...but we dont rely on it to be.

Our entire world views have been built off lies that support a very small group of people running things, while we'd just as soon sell out our families before taking them to task for their crimes against us.

Look up Ursula Haverbeck: The Panorama Interview.

Now, I don't want to push something that's very controversial, it's not my intention. This woman however is a truth seeker, and merely asking a question can land someone in jail in multiple countries around the world (on this specific subject.)

Why does the truth need to be protected by outrageous laws? I also read that hundreds of thousands of documents on this specific case are held behind an iron curtain. Which is troubling, to say the least.
