Why Did NBC News Sit on Explosive Story About Clinton’s Alleged Hacked Email Server For Weeks?

Gee, what a surprise. You mean to tell me that the corporate media is in the bag for Hillary? NBC (Nobody But Clinton) sat on the story. People will really see the bias in the coming months leading up to the election. I can't wait for Trump to call out George Stephanopolous of ABC that he's shilling for Hillary as a former Bill Clinton admin member and donations to the Clinton foundation.

As you can see from the transcript, Lazar is openly admitting to hacking Clinton’s private e-mail account. The same private e-mail account where federal officials found over 2,000 e-mails that contained classified information, including at least 22 deemed to contain “Top Secret” information. That is pretty explosive information. To note, Clinton’s campaign has already fired back, in a statement saying “There is absolutely no basis to believe the claims made by this criminal from his prison cell.”

Now, this is where things get a little strange. As was noted earlier, NBC News says Lazar made these claims to McFadden during an interview in a Bucharest prison and we know Lazar was extradited to the United States on or about March 31, 2016. So, it stands to reason that McFadden conducted the interview before he was extradited to the U.S. which means NBC News was sitting on these explosive claims for more than one month. Which begs the question, why would a major news network sit on such an explosive allegation — especially when the claim directly relates to a presidential candidate and the biggest story the 2016 presidential election cycle?

That actually could become some kind of of "thing" for alternative news sites. Use a Z to differentiate yourself, and let potential readers know you aren't bought and beholden to a corporate master. Or something like that.

Yea, the Bernie winning would be interesting, wouldn't it, especially now that Trump has shafted the GOP.
With those two running against each other it would be the time to settle the direction the "country" is going in.

That mash up might just result in a mutual agreement for the Red States to go their own way and the Blue States theirs.

NBC has for so long been in the Clintoon camp that I'd bet that after the Conventions, they won't cover the Trump campaign at all................dead silence on that. But they'll capture and report every fickle and fart that Clinton does and for 24/7.

And this news cycle will come of course complete with those wonderous Polls showing Clinton with a double digit lead because, well, after all..........a bunch of voters only want to vote for the Winner, so that's how they choose who to vote for.

What a friggin' farce this is.

You do know who Dan Abrams is I hope? Formerly chief legal analyst at NBC who then transitioned into having his own MSNBC show(s) before eventually rising to GM at MSNBC. Now he works for ABC. He's got a set of similar news blog sites like this, the first and most popular of which is Mediaite.com. He's one of the better connected people in the media world.

In other news, even "lawnewz" is an extension of corporate media. More to the point, 99.99999% of news media is for profit so it's kinda pointless to cast aspersions at the outlets you don't like when essentially, they're all beholden to the politicians and the like for access. Without access to politicians, media companies can't compete so they all play ball. Then there is the vast network of news blogs and the like that don't have their own journalists and therefore are basically just rehashing the crap trickling down from the "corporate media" unless they "break a story" (read: dig up something form web sleuthing).

As for the Clinton connection to NBC, I'm not aware of any. I do know that the Obama Administration has some strong ties to ABC though apparently even that isn't enough that Dan Abrams's site isn't suggesting that the Clinton (ostensibly Obama's preference for successor) campaign has some sway over the editorial decisions of NBC.

Hillary is afraid of Trump.

The longer Bernie stays in, he is a buffer.
Trump is going to flog Hillary, and she knows it.

That is why she is not even calling on Sanders to end his campaign.

No, they won't. They obviously missed the fraud exacted upon Ron Paul in 2008 and 2012, the frauds that were the 2000 and 2004 elections, and they won't care one iota about this either. We could go back to '76, even, and that would be 1876, to see hinky things a going on in our national elections. Things have totally gotten better since then, haven't they?

Too many people play the "my team is better than your team" game that is politics these days, either too foolish to understand there aren't teams in this "game" or they are too brainwashed to even know they are brainwashed, which actually are the same thing.
