Are people that are between 18 and 21 who are smokers grandfathered in or something? Pretty screwed up to force people to quit or become criminals.

I was so totally against previous smoking bans. I was one of the "My Rights" people.

Until after it happened, went into affect.

I so much enjoyed not having to experience second hand smoke.

I so much enjoyed eating in a "clear air" restaurant - - and feeling my children's lungs were safer.

These laws sound dumb, but sometimes they just aren't.

or as class a and b addicts would tell you,

welcome to the war on drugs.

this is how America has always treated addiction, as a crime, not a disease.

meanwhile other countries are moving forward with decriminalization of drugs. and they are WINNING their war on drugs.

Eh,... no again.

I only quote some guy that was a doctor and a former Surgeon General.

Dr. C. Everett Coop might have lived in an apartment. I am not sure.

I understand that nicotine is a drug, just as alcohol is a drug.

What makes me irate, is the state of California saying "you are not old enough to make conscious choices so give us your tax money to make choices for you. When you are older you can choose, in a few years. We still need those taxes till then though".

It is taxation without representation at the least, and charging a person to enforce another's will upon them at worst.

EDIT - Pretty swanky apartment complex BTW

And we have to recognise also the fact that tobacco was a founding crop in the early days of America. It is hard to change what was our original economy.
