Wal-Mart or Walmart? That one always gets me.
I love reading about the Mandela stuff. Hopefully Jacy will pop in.

But you're not really discussing collective memory on large scales. Mostly conspiracy theorists are weighing in. This causes confirmation bias, as most people discussing the topic will be remembering the "Mandela Affected" memories.

Omg not another one of these threads!
I assure you it hasn't changed and water is still wet.

So despite the fact that you've found absolutely no evidence of there ever being a dash, you still come to the conclusion that your memory is 100% correct and there is this massive, overly complicated theory about time line shifts and the like...
Many others clearly remembered Kit-Kat with me too. I mean if Frankenstein became Frankenstain or Einstein became Einstain, you would also freak out.

Yes, I clearly remember kit-kat.
It may not be the best example of the Mandella Effect, but I definitely do recall the dash.
. I completely agree with that. The biases are lopsided and the collective is not suited for an accurate study. I was just meaning to say ATS is no echo chamber. Also I respect this place because nothing false seems to survive here. The bs is usually eventually filtered out, given the info was posted in a news, history or science forum.

It's still in no way a large enough collective to study memory. There aren't as many people actually participating on ATS as we'd all like to think, and how many are weighing in on the Mandela Effect threads who either confirm or deny the effect? Not enough for a study, not by a long shot.
