I agree. I watched the first episode of Season 2, hoping it would be better than Season 1. I also thought the episodes would get better each week. There are really no likeable characters. I thought the ex-wife was tough but then they killed her off.
I feel the same way about Better Call Saul. I stuck with that show till episode 3 of second season, hoping it would get better.

I like Nick and Strand. I honestly thought somehow Nick was patient zero carrying, yet not showing full symptoms. He's practically zombified, heroine or not. Did you notice his gait is a bit zombie-like as well? Nicks sister is hot, but the rest I'm kinda not even processing lol. It's background theatre while working on projects once a week. Not much into it.

Wow, poor Strand. Just happened to have rescued the DUMBEST family in the Zombie Apocalypse.

Let's rescue people in the boat! - No dummies. You don't know if they are armed, if they are infected, etc.

Let's go rescue this guy we never heard of! - No dummies. Could even be a trap.

Let's chat on the radio like Facebook! - No dummies. A smart person would triangulate the signal and come find you.

Let's give the teenager a radio! - No dummies. Unless you want to advertise all of your strengths, weaknesses, and tell any potentials everything about you.

Let's pull into a cove to hide, but then leave all of our lights on... - No dummies...what part of HIDING do you not understand.

Let's just ignore the guy who said stay in sight... - No dummies, that's how you run into a horde of plane crash zombies, while alone.

Hey, here's a place with a fence, food, water, shelter, and isolation, oops, time to leave... - No dummies, this is the first decent safe place you've found! If it goes to hell, you can then escape in the yacht! (or at least load up the yacht).

Oops, a zombie is stuck in the intake. I'll go down without a weapon. - No dummies, take something to deal with the zombie!

And what's with the Dad anyhow? He went from useless idiot, to a guy who can SCUBA dive and repair a multi-million dollar yacht. Huh?

I just really have to question the casting decisions (and the writing) for these characters. They have ZERO chemistry, seemingly no intelligence, and I actually ROOT for them to DIE.... Pretty sure that isn't the intention.

I watched last season and thought it was decent enough, but after that stinker of a first episode this season, I've given up on it. I think part of the problem is that TWD hasn't really been very good for a while now, either, and while I'll continue watching that one to its conclusion no matter how awful it can be, I'm not invested enough in this spinoff to put up with another crap sandwich being served up in this universe.

I'd agree the first 3 seasons of TWD were golden, but it's been spiraling down from there.

Same problem as this spinoff...the main characters make STUPID decisions. On this show, it's expected by now.
On TWD though, we know the characters better.

I mean, you need adversity for the story, but don't insult our intelligence to do it.

The episode lastnite was horrible. It's not even worthy of background drama. I'm done with it.

I think I'm still a couple of episodes behind. I DVR nearly everything (with the exception of watching Game of Thrones that same night, and usually Walking Dead). Anything else, I'm seeing days later, hehe.

The plane stuff during the commercials was much more riveting. Just springboard off that instead.

I'd almost rather see a vignette of episodes showing the evolution of the outbreak than stay with this idiotic family.

(I'm still wondering why Strand didn't simply go out to the Abigail himself in the middle of the night, and leave them to fend for themselves in the house). Why did he ever even mention it to them? Because he's gay for Johnny Depp Jr?

So far, he's the only one with a brain in his head (except for not securing the radio from the teenage girl). Rookie move.

Damn, things are really going to go south now. Just watched the guy shoot his infected boyfriend. So, that place isn't going to be safe for them anymore....

I haven't watched the last three episodes. I've lost interest. Really disappointed. I'd love to see a new take on how things go to sh*t during a zombie outbreak. This show had potential but the writing and casting really dropped the ball.

Too true.

I wish they would do more like the commercials, and skip around, like on the plane, etc.

I wish it took a more in depth look at the zombie apocolypse through the eyes of government intitutions and from social media where as leading up to the collapse you see things as they started doing on youtube and social media, then the characters are introduced by sitting on ATS debunking it as a hoax or whatever, then it flashes to the people in the ISS talking to Houston getting the news that things are bad and they are not coming home to home. The first season had that going for it more or less but if they kept it going it could have been much better. I can write a much better comic book then what they have for a tv show. I bet robert kirkman is face palming everytime he hears about the spin off.
