I used to love doing anagrams and sudoku. Now I just do sudoku as I've done so many anagrams it got boring.

It (for me) just helps keep my brain active when I'm not working.

ETA: you'd also be surprised by how much more logical you are for the day if you've done a crossword or puzzle in the morning.

Perhaps I should. But I feel I may not have the brain capacity. I'd rather read and write. Though I haven't been reading for quite a while...but surely both of these activities stimulate the mind as well.

I'd assume so. I used to be a big reader. Looking at getting back into reading Discworld.

Unfortunately, no one can be told what demon ale is. You have to experience it for yourself.

At any rate, I think I'll just start referring to lemonade as demon ale, just for the hell of it.

Reading helps with vocabulary, grammar and creating a better understanding of just how we can use words such as the placement or construction of a sentence which we may not really be focused on this while reading we do end up absorbing the information. I'm going to have to check out the book that you mentioned, Discworld. I'd suggest the author William Wharton. He's written a few war novels(Second World War) and other autobiographical(perhaps semi I'm not sure) works. Scumbler specifically I love. When I was young I'd read 50-60+ books a year. But then I was young and books now are of course of greater length and there are more pressing matters. But I should find time for a good book. Oh and Birdy by William Wharton is a great book about two friends, one of which is suffering a mental illness and is visited by his friend. If you do read it let me know. There is a sequel, but it is only in Polish, but I can tell you what occurs.

Heh good idea actually. Demon ale. For that you get a star. Nonetheless there certainly has been a deterioration. Though it may just be a brief recession.

Discworld isn't a singular book. There are numerous books based on discworld (flat disc on top of 4 elephants on top of a turtle travelling through space). It's pure fantasy, but I like Terry Pratchetts writing style. My imagination lets me see what is written in pictures rather than just the words.

I'll check out William Wharton too.
