Continuing to call us trolls when we have proved time and time again to not be trolls (i.e disruptors for the sake of disrupting, which a troll in this context means) doesnt really put much validity to your posts.
Everyone can see that, including new posters.

Contrary to what many of you seem to think, we arent badgering anyone, nor are we calling people names. Saying this ME fad has risen to a cult-like phenomenon is not badgering - its calling it like we see it.

Pointing to psychiatric conditions is not badgering either. It is ALSO calling it like we see it.

Pretty much the only people here calling people names, are you and fellow ME-ers...

Thanks for mentioning Haley's Comet. I actually made a post on this very thing a while back.

I don't remember Captain Crunch, but I do remember when I discovered that MacDonald's had become McDonald's. I remember noticing this in the backseat as my family drove past one. My father assured me that it had always been McDonald's. I was little at the time, maybe 7 or so. This would have been thirty years ago (around 1986.)

The Big Mac made more sense back then.

Well, I'm actually a bit proud of myself for being able to do that lately! But I remain cognizant of the fact that there are probably a lot more people following this than we even realize; people just getting their feet wet on the ME topic, etc. So when they do the word-twisting thing, I try to at least correct it for the sake of who else may be looking on. May we find the strength to refrain from even doing this, I suppose.

Personally, I never heard the term "special snowflake" before in my life, until recently on ATS. I was about to say "maybe it's an American thing," but I've seen too many American TV shows, films, documentaries, talked with too many people, read too many sites to never have come across it before.

I see that the Urban Dictionary has a number of meaning entries, but none earlier than 2008.

Anyone can read and understand what I said. It had to do with grouping us together as a kind of cult and asking that everyone is respectful with each other.

I used to have a 1979 Datsun 280z. When I bought it I thought it was a rare car, hardly anybody had one. After I got it I felt like I saw them everywhere.

Sometimes when we learn or obtain something, we start to see it everywhere that we had not noticed it previously. That was discussed at length in one of the papers I linked to.

Thankyou, and i respect that you can talk about this subject in a decent and reasonable manner, unlike some. I appreciate that.

A couple of the verses that many people believe have been changed in the KJV Bible supposedly relate to the "rapture theory." I'm emboldening the parts I remember being changed in the scriptures quoted below. Some Mandela Effect believers think those who have shifted here were "raptured" from our previous reality. Changing the verses below could be sending an important message to us.

Luke 17:34 - 17:37

34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two [men] in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
35 Two [women] shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
36 Two [men] shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body [is], thither will the eagles be gathered together.

It was "McDonalds" in my previous awareness. This is one of those things that makes me think that people from different realities are converging on this one.

ETA: I just realized that in this reality it's "McDonald's", there was no apostrophe in my previous reality.

Unless TPTB know alternate realities are really out there, we just look like mentally ill people.

It's no different than the Bruce Willis character in 12 Monkeys. He seemed to belong in a mental hospital although he really didn't. That's one reason why I don't plan to tell anyone in my personal life about my Mendela Effect beliefs.

Your version of talking about something in a reasonable manner must be blindly agreeing and looking for confirmation bias.
