Technically tweetie is correct.

A spherical object interpretation into a 2d image on paper would distort it a bit.

I did say technically lol.

Edit : Also if anyone knows why google images does not go further back than 16th of April 2008 I would be interested, I'am sure there is a technical reason, and i'm a computer enthusiast so this interests me.

Very interesting date. Good find.
The guy in this video comes up with around the same time for when these things may have started.

Good find! I noticed Australia in 2008. I was noticing music before that, but 2008 was my first huge shocker with Australia, where I could no longer deny things were not normal.

Actually I have also been saying it all along. Im sorry if you felt I was repeating myself but I just wanted to link the Rational Wiki page, and to again point to some valid points (even if they had been said before), not to repeat them, but just to point them out. Again. No need for the rude sarcasm.
Some people here seem to complain about the trolls, but I dont think your comment was any better, tbh.
I wanna say "but Im on your side!" but I dont really feel like it since you went to sarcasm mode..

Anyway, regarding the google images.
I dont really remember when Google implemented its Image search, but I guess that would be too easy.

Tigertatzen - the friend who is from NZ - and remember it being elsewhere - could you invite him/her to this thread? I would like to ask some questions, because that is indeed very curious..

What about Australia did you notice if I may ask?

Contrary to the popular assertion by all the would-be character assassins clinging to this thread like barnacles, we all seem to be quite a grounded, intelligent, reasoning group of people. In other words, you're in good company.

Ditto. I also find the nameless ones' assertions about us all being totally loopy quite offensive & irrelevant, and believe it's probably devised in such a way so as to put people off from joining the conversation.. The ME experiencers in this thread are almost all intelligent & well-rounded individuals, who find it easy to talk with one another about a subject which could have the potential to unhinge a person. We are not loopy, though the ME itself most certainly is...

Spot on. I cannot figure out what the motive is here, but the amount of harassment this thread has received is heavily disproportionate to the topic. The relentless insistence that we are delusional, or have succumbed to mass hysteria, or are simply stupid, or trying to start a cult (my personal favorite) or are seeking some special status because we're just insecure drama queens has been way beyond the pale here.

Also, the constant smug reminders from the aforementioned that they are in no way violating the T&C, or attacking anyone seem to make their behavior look that much more shady.

It's ironic that they have cited Occam's Razor as a popular basis of their argument for the mundane, though. The simplest and fastest path to impediment of the flow of information is to attempt to impeach the character of and discredit the person giving it, by any means necessary. And as we can clearly see, they did indeed take the simplest and fastest path, right out of the gate.

Unfortunately, they must either be very sloppy or not too bright because, in a case like this, less is typically better. You come crashing into a fairly innocuous discussion like that, haranguing and belittling people and refuse to relent and move on, spam the thread repeatedly with the same wall of text telling people that you know their own subconscious mind better than they do, harassing people for simply having a like-minded discussion...that's the polar opposite of subtlety. It stands out.
sooooo true! I have 9 or 10 harrasment answers for every normal answer! One of my threads got shut down because of their trolling, and I am pretty sure that is thier goal in my other threads and this one as well, which makes it look more and more like we must be on to something big!

May I ask if it is possible, even remotely, that this effect has to do with a collective remembrance of false memories caused (in part) by past and present marketing of tangibles to make money?

I was told that by the mainstream media, teachers in school and by people I know. I never stated it before in my life. I have seen video footage over the course of my life of large mounds of ice and footage of it melting and collapsing into the water. Some of the glaciers were so enormous that it was said that if one of the larger ones were to collapse into the ocean it could create a massive tidal wave that would emerge a large portion of surrounding countries underwater. Again, I never said this myself, it came from media figures mostly. It may have been sensationalist and untrue. I can only say that it was said.

It could be. There is the idea that many things have changed and that we're just noticing certain silly things that sound out in business and culture, but it is also possible that certain well known names and lines have been altered just so that they would be noticed. I just had a thought. A creepy thought lol But it's possible that someone (or something) is doing this to grab our attention, like a sort of universal sabotage. To me personally, some of these changes seem kind of petty, like a small child giggling while they mess with us. Who knows, the whole thing is weird

Maybe they are clues. It might be interesting to examine each case and compare them to see if there are similarities, perhaps repeating themes or something. I might try this later when I have more time.

Care to elaborate?

You have spent over a hundred pages insisting that your memory is perfect, and that anyone who suggests that it is not is somehow attacking your character and "impeding the flow of information." Every single instance of the "Mandela Effect" is easily explainable, especially since many people have pointed out that they have always known how Berenstain was spelled, where Australia is located, and so forth. It is you who are implying that they are wrong, and therefore gullible fools in comparison to your godlike powers of recollection. Overcoming ego is the first step onto a genuinely spiritual path.

Correct. Brands change their names and logos for various reasons. Cup O'Soup becomes Cup-O-Soup becomes Souper Cup! Mary Lynn becomes Marilyn. Borders get redrawn. Sometimes memories are correct and things really have changed, but there is no need to invoke parallel universes to explain the changes.

Indeed, and it adds credibility to the theory that these changes are deliberate, that someone or something is trying to get our attention.

Australasia is a term that was used a lot (at least in my country-Slovenia) and meant the part of the world that connected Asia to Australia, usually Papua, New Guinea and Australia and since it was close to Australia also New Zealand was included.

Oceania was a broader term that also included all islands east from Australia (Polinesia, Melanesia...).

Australasia has nothing to do with Austral ocean. Austral ocean does not exist and I never heard or read about such sea, though maybe in different countries they have different names for same area, surely not where I live.

There are and were since I remember different seas around Australia, like Tasman sea, Coral sea and Timor sea.

I'be heard the term South sea (not confusing it for South China Sea!) in my language, but as I recall it has never been as a name for a particular sea area, but rather as a simplified term that meant something far away to southern hemisphere, though I never correlated it to S. America or Africa, it must have meant sea areas south of Australia.

Also, I got an idea why some people might think N. Zealand was west of Australia. I opened all my atlases to figure out what were people looking at and saw a map of Antarctica. It is a large double page map set in a way, similar to this map www.worldatlas.com... (S. America end is seen on the upper and left side, south part of Africa on the upper right corner and south(!!) part of Australia on lower right corner.

From such perspective N. Zealand actually lies left of Australia, which I guess people would see as west side... for same reasons some people thought there are two Pacific oceans cause they saw the name on each side of those huge school wall map (where the Europe and Africa make the middle part of the map) and forgot the Earth is round). They just don't imagine things the right way, they just impress some visual image without correlating it to other info.

Personally, I don't believe in the hypnotic programming theory. When I was a kid in school I was told things that then changed and later changed again. For example, the U.S. had 52 States, 51, now 50. There are others but I can't think of them right now. But what this shows me is that geological realities have switched back and forth. If there was a hypnotic programming at work, why would it not erase (or alter) my memory of those changes?

Just noticed a new Mandela Effect on the map: Russia is now so close to Alaska they're practically touching! I remember a GREAT EXPANSE of ocean between the 'new' and 'old' worlds! Has the planet really shrank? I guess in this reality, Russian explorers must be the biggest idiots in history! Christopher Columbus sailed across the ocean to discover America, taking him about two months of perilous journey, meanwhile Russian rowboats could have made it there! In fact, they could probably see it from a distance!

BTW, I think there really is something important involving Mongolia. I had a friend years ago who kept mentioning that something very important was happening there. As I didn't know if it was anything that mattered to me (I guess I was less interested in the world back then,) I didn't push him too much to tell me. He was one of those Internet hipster types: very intelligent but petty about speaking in code. Now that a Mandela Effect has made Mongolia its own nation, taking up a portion of China, I guess he was right. I've heard others saying this still, that something "important" is going on. Damned 'insiders' and their cryptic riddles lol Just mentioning this in case you know or discover anything occult going on in Mongolia. It may relate to the Mandela Effect.

To bad I lost touch with that guy...
