She's not doing good. Was practically manic for days and slept five or six hours a night (and hence so did I, or less), then yesterday, except for brief intervals barely awake, she slept for 22 hours. About 8 pm Tuesday to 6pm Wednesday. Then awake til 9 pm, then back to sleep again for another 10 hours. Today she's been fighting to stay awake.

It's symptomatic of her illness. The brain is struggling with the new damage, so it shuts down and she sleeps.

I have some new pets. Since the chicken slaughter, I've adopted some chickens, 2 hens are 3rd generation broody and one is nesting right now, and some ducks. I've learned some male ducks, like the one I adopted, are complete a holes. The girls are sweet though, you can pick them up. And duck eggs are really good.

My new chicks are due to arrive next week. Very excited about that. I ordered lots of fancy ones this time.
