Ever Poland?

Nope, Kazakhstan for 4 years though. Russian speaking, and I met some Poles there.

ETA: I am not Russian speaking, just survival - buy beers and food.

What was the most interesting occurence that you've had?

Good question...

I suppose one that springs to mind is walking around an African village market with two chickens, heading off to a wedding. (The chickens were alive, then we had them for lunch when we got to the venue).

Then later, after lunch, being one of only 3 foreigners at the open air ceremony held on a huge plateau with about 400 locals, and having to dance in front of them - you have to dance up to the front and give a donation of money into a basket.
