One of the American men accused in Minnesota of trying to join the Islamic State group wanted to open up routes from Syria to the U.S. through Mexico, prosecutors said.

Guled Ali Omar told the ISIS members about the route so that it could be used to send members to America to carry out terrorist attacks, prosecutors alleged in a document filed this week.

But prosecutors said audio recordings obtained during the investigation show the defendants spoke multiple times about the possibility of attacks in the U.S. Among them, Omar spoke of establishing a route for fighters, Farah spoke of killing an FBI agent and another man who pleaded guilty talked about shooting a homemade rocket at an airplane.

imho, this is old news to anyone

--that has been even moderately informed;

--that has had a capacity to think logically and critically;

--that is not deluded by all manner of rosy glassed blather pretending that the current realities are not real;

--that has any shred of a patriotic bone left in their body.

One of my greatest . . . gritches toward Bush Jr was his hanging the very patriotic and diligent border guards out to dry--even at pardon time. It was clear to me then that the oligarchy was working hard to INSURE that Mexico was a CONDUIT of terrorists and others hell-bent on destroying our once grand land.

What a stinking pile of treason soooooooooo many are guilty of. And the gritchy one is just itching to get back into the White House to up the ante on all that evil, hideous, treasonous stuff. Evidently her pseudo hubby giving China atomic secrets wasn't treasonous enough for her black Commie heart.

imho, none of them can be trusted. All of them are fast at work to shred what's left of our land. And the conduit through Mexico of folks who have vowed to destroy us is merely a screaming example of that.

This is what I expected from day one. So it comes with no suprise to me.

What I'm wondering is if this is somehow linked to Trump trying to gain supporters for his wall idea.

No I'd say this is the sad reality of what is to come. No current politics needed the damage has been done and ongoing for a long time now. But in hindsight....

They use the same channels they use to sell us heroin to sneak in people and weapons any idiot can come to that conclusion

Heroin from Afghanistan, how convenient. And when it came from Vietnam it was a nuisance too right? Give me a break and tell me the last terrorist. This news is just in time for the elections to get us edgy.

I think it's been in the works for virtually 2 decades or so . . . well before Trump's bit part on the political stage.

I still think it's at least plausible that he's been cast in the crazy role in order to help insure his ?buddy? the gritchy one gets back in the WH.

How will ISIS smuggle fighters into the US via Mexico?

Drug smuggling tunnels?

Setting up shop in Mexico?

It seems these wannabe jihadists are less informed about Mexico than they are on building a viable rocket to down an airliner... I cannot reasonably find a way Mexico would be easier than any other established route into the US. Too much effort considering ISIS can easily pay for fake documents.
