The Draft = Protest by mass suicide?!?

If there is a Draft, draftees should committ mass suicide to send a message to the government that they'd rather kill themselves than serve a fascist dicatorship on their hell bent mission to kill Muslim peoples for oil & to protect United States' Jewish masters country, Israel.

Think of it thousands of people amassing outside the White House and then commit mass suicide by self-immolation. The shock factor would be through the roof, thousands of protestors afire, there would be no way all of them could be dowsed in time.

During 'Nam draftees burned draft cards, burning yourself up to death has a greater effect and would quickly cause the public to have a huge outcry against the War Against Terrorism and call for its ending.

Again this is an idea, not a recommendation and I am not responsible if you go out and kill yourself, etc, etc, etc.

I really don't think many people would be up for that.

If that happens....

if someone actually uses their brain to think of something like that...and actually implements it....and have others follow, maybe it's just natures way to have only the strongest, most intelligent surviving....

I think we should twist this around a bit: Maybe all the INSURGENTS should protest with a mass suicide. Then we wont need a draft

Actually, I dont see the value of suicides as a deterant to a policy. Now that I am thinking of it, I dont know of any that have actually worked.

I think it would be better to just kill the leaders responsible for the draft. Same shocking message, only I don't have to kill myself.

First off I said DRAFTEES should do it, not people against the war. If I got drafted, possibly. It would depend if it was on a massive scale, a few suicides here and there wont make much of a difference but a mass suicide would grab attention of the whole nation.

Suicide is better than military enslavement though.

Apparently suicides are the coolest fad in extreme islam that'll gaurentee you some 70 virgins in the afterlife. Why virgins anyways? Wouldn't you want at least a hint of some experience in all those women? Anyways, it is a sin in the eyes of our God to commit suicide if your Christain or Catholic.

So go figure. One God is ready to offer you up massive amounts of inexperienced virgins, while the other God will land you a one way ticket to that lake of fire for commiting suicide.

The punishment for both is almost equal though

Let me guess...

You're past draft age?

Too young currently for a draft to affect you?

Have a disability that prohibits you from military service?

Were declared mentally retarded and cannot be drafted?

Believe Yahweh will rapture your great and kind soul before a draft commences?

Because you can't be a person that could at all be affected by the draft and still say what you've said.

It's moronic, sorry to be blunt, but it's simply foolish.

This is the real world, not Heaven's Gate or the Jim Jones Ranch bubba.

Evade.

You seem to forget that the 1st Century Christians committed suicide to get to heaven, until it was condemned by the church because they was loosing members and money.

As for suicide in Islam it says:

"Do not kill yourselves, for Allah is compassionate towards you. Whoever does so, in transgression and wrongfully, We shall roast in a fire, and that is an easy matter for Allah." (an-Nisaa 4:29-30)

Narrated Thabit bin Ad-Dahhak, The Prophet said, "...whoever commits suicide with piece of iron will be punished with the same piece of iron in the Hell Fire." Narrated Jundab the Prophet said, "A man was inflicted with wounds and he committed suicide, and so Allah said: 'My slave has caused death on himself hurriedly, so I forbid Paradise for him.' " (Sahih Bukhari 2.445)

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "He who commits suicide by throttling shall keep on throttling himself in the Hell Fire (forever) and he who commits suicide by stabbing himself shall keep on stabbing himself in the Hell-Fire." (Sahih Bukhari 2.446).

I never advocated killing others, just one's self as an last resort form of protest.

I don’t think your going to get much of a response from other draftee's, but then again you are Americans, anyway there was a lot of talk here on ats about what was going on at Denver airport as there were rumours of mass detention centres and some wondering on what they might be for. Maybe they have been preparing for you.

Why? I'm not part of any anti-war group nor do I go out to protests.

Death is better than military enslavement? Well first off I wouldn't call the draft a military enslavement, because there are ways out of the draft, if you were a slave there wouldn't be. And second if you dont like the draft than the day it comes back leave the country, i heard a lot of people are heading to Canada, but personally i'll rather head to the bahamas . Finally, the day the draft comes back is the day i watch tv looking for a mad man who commited suicide.
