He was pretty outspoken about the Illuminati and the chemtrails. He died from "flu"... maybe there is more to this story !

I got to see him in Las Cruces NM about 18 years ago. His was the best, and still to this day the best, concert I have ever seen. His music was always incredible. I even broke down and watched the Super Bowl half time show, just because he was in it. I loved how it started raining during Purple Rain. With the purple lights, it really was like he was 'standing in the Purple Rain'. Goodbye Prince, your music can make the angel's cry now. You will be greatly missed

I have a post somewhere on ATS from 2008/09 saying just that. I was a fan of his music. The man could just flat out play. And write. He was really underappreciated in his ability to play guitar, probably the most underrated player of our time, imo.

This is really sad!! I loved his soundtrack Purple Rain. What a talent!

His plane made an emergency landing after a concert he performed a few days ago. He was hospitalized with the flu but then told everyone he was okay. Now he's passed. It could've been a complication from the flu that he didn't quite recover from.

I just heard Raspberry Beret in Whole Foods yesterday... loved him since I was a pre-teen. I never got to see him in concert though and I remember being furious with my mom for not taking me to his concert.
