Anybody else picky about giving stars?

I'l like to trade some of my stars for a few flags.....

Loved the replies guys and gals and hybrid reptilian humanoids. You all got a star today! Its nice to post a thread that is not about the world ending or some horrible thing. I hope you all have a lovely day/week/weekend

I really don't like the star & flag system because it's really just a licence for people to 'big up' their friends (though quite how anyone thinks they have friends on a site full of random people from around the world with fictitious identities is beyond me. I could understand it on Facebook, but not here).

That said, I usually make a point of starring anyone courteous enough to reply to my threads.

For flags, I will give them to threads that I enjoy or if it is an important or fascinating topic and especially if it a person in need of some support or advice or a bit of love and compassion. Stars, I love to give them for a great number of reasons. I even star those who will come in on a thread and are off topic, but make me almost spit my coffee out because it is so funny.

Thank you, I reciprocated.

I star just about every post in a thread that keeps it going. Unless someone's managed to get under my skin for some reason ... I'll do it even if I'm in disagreement (Swills LOL).

ETA: I can't wait for the day SO figures out how to undo the star glitch. PPL are going to be surprised at how low the actual counts truly are.
