I didn't really want to make a list of my own because I'd no doubt forget people and also I might find myself compelled to list the names of people I disagree with constantly (aka people who are wrong a lot). After skimming through the thread though, there were a few names I didn't see in any of the lists (I might have overlooked one or two) that came to mind:

Blackmarketeer, Harte, Byrd, Spider879, Grimpachi, punkinworks10, CagliostroTheGreat, Hanslune (whatever happened to Hanslune?), ~Lucidity (self-banned?)

Hi NONE of you, you are all BAS@!&*) only joking to many to mention but most of the usual suspects.

I don't like to mention specific names on threads like this. I can't help thinking of all the people who will be tempted to go scrolling through in the hopes of seeing their name, and the way feel if it isn't. I think this is kind of cruel.
It's like being high school all over again, where you don't want to be one of those left out, but you don't want to be one of the cruel in crowd either.

But I will say this- I really appreciate so many people here! Even ones that I might have a disagreement or argument once in a while, they are often ones I like a whole lot! But for fear of the favoritism effect, I don't often tell people how much I like them.

So if you haven't had me tell you how much I look forward to reading your posts, you can assume I do. Give yourself a hug for me!

Every time I read one of these threads and don't see my name mentioned even once, I die a little inside

Oh whale, I love you all equally. I mean, even if I disagree with most of you I still respect your opinion. What makes this site so great is the clashing of different ideas.

Trying to pick favorites is really, really hard! I'm sure some will figure that I am hesitant to name names for fear of seeming biased or something. But that's honestly not the deciding factor here. Writing is!

Sure... Any of us who post a lot will fall into the trap of "LINK! Short comment. POST FAST!!! GO GO GO !!!" when we come across breaking news or something like that ( I know I sometimes do it at least ) - and that a number of the most statistically successful members absolutely thrive by using this formula - that sort of thread really doesn't ever stay with me. Not even when I am the one who posted it. I definitely enjoy that ATS is a more effective breaking news feed than my actual breaking news feeds are... But if that was all ATS offered? Honestly, I'd probably just keep Reuters or AP running in a RSS box and pay a lot less attention to ATS as a whole.

I imagine that somebody will likely comment that, as they see it, ATS is little more than that anyway. God knows such comments appear every single time anyone cracks that door open even a hair.

However, even after all of these years, I still disagree and see examples of why I disagree every single day! Thread and comments that are insightful, touching, well thought out, written from the heart and crafted with love! Words on a screen that can transcend the cold nature of text and serve as a glimpse into the hearts and minds of others. Little snippets of honestly that can be and often are very moving and touching.

Whenever I read such an OP or post... The person who wrote it becomes my new favorite member for a minute. That person becomes the friend I didn't realize I had. That person sews a thread into the tapestry of my life and becomes a permanent part of my experience.

That's something I can never find words to fully express my gratitude for. But inability to express it doesn't stop me from trying.

Oh, and when others read something that I wrote and find value in it? Again... absolute gratitude and just about the most positive and humbling feeling in the world.

My list would be huge...sadly quite a few of my favourites are gone now (and are missed).

Everyone on my friends list, obviously, I friended you for a reason.

I think its funny the people calling this a "circle jerk". Its just friends discussing one another, after all, most of us are here for the same reasons. To live, learn and love and I love you ALL, ATS has been a part of my life for almost five years and I appreciate all the enlightenment and impotent frustration.
