I definitely think Dany would be the heart, Tyrion the mind, and Jon the arm of the dragon.

Given GRRM's feelings towards relatives and coupling, I could see Jon and Dany getting together (I think Dany would technically be his aunt?) With Tyrion as the Hand of the King.

However, the part that caught my interest was Hodor and whatever caused his current state. That's something new...

Yeah, forgot to mention that. That should prove interesting. My guess is that he was in charge of the safety of an animal or person named Hodor, and saw them die horribly...and after, only capable of the one word/name....

Today is Mothers Day....

The rumor is that Jon Snow's mother will be revealed on tonight's episode.... Ending a 20 yr mystery.

Supposedly because the show's directors correctly guessed this critical piece of information, this is why George RR Martin agreed to allow HBO to make the show. Personally I think the mountain of money and international fame was a bigger factor, but who am I to say?

Well, they ALMOST got there, but not quite. We heard Jon being born, but that's about it.

So aggravating.... Ahhhhh...... Rarely has a show gotten me this on edge. Lol..... Kudos to the writers and good ol George.

I was a little disappointed in the reaction of Thorne and Company to Jon being alive.... And his conversation with Melisandre was anti-climactic.

But overall, I'm not horribly disappointed.

Tyrion is always good for a laugh.

As long as, at some point, we see Tyrion ride into King's Landing on a Dragon, while Cersei looks up with pure hatred and amazement, it will ALL be worth it.

Season 6? So far its pretty much its pretty much what people have predicted. I watched the 3 episodes, and was thinking. What happened to the books? Does nobody read anymore?

Ah TV dramas! When will you learn?

But anyways I am still hoping they bring back Strong Belwas, at least maybe as a cameo as a undead thrall of the white walkers, his attack could be he throws undead poop at his enemies. And how does a zombie/undead still poop? That will be a mystery they will be talking about on the internet and various forms a media many years from now, still.

At least that would not be so dam predictable. Oh another thing they could do is...Get this...Kill off Jon Snow, and in the next episode, right after he came back from the dead. T' would be quite a shocker would it not? Ah! maybe no, I suppose, not really, but then again? To dam many characters on this show, its hard to remember all of them and there names, better to kill off some of them, that way the remaining ones will be easier to remember.

Not likely to happen as it will spoil the whole plot and what not, that whole killing off Jon Snow right after he has been returned from the dead. But still..Why not?

My problem is when you combine lots of characters, with characters with similar names....Bron, Bran, etc. C'mon, really?
I pretty much just use nicknames....

Cersei - Evil Queen
Jaime - Goldfinger
Tyrion - The Imp
Tywin (now dead) - Big Papa
Marjoree - Her Royal Hotness
The Hound and the Mountain (same), except now there is FrankenMountain
Bran - Psychic Timaaay
Arya - Hit Girl
Sansa - How is she not dead yet
Dany - Dragonlady

I see that it mirrors today's society in which it is only the "High Sparrow" that knows what the Gods want. I'm thinking that the High Sparrow will be 'flying away' thanks to Cersei, this after just watching episode #56 Oathbreaker (original air date May 8th) I bet She has Her Guard, The MentalMidgetMountain do the deed, probably by ripping of His wings (arms) and throwing Him off a tower and saying "See, He isn't a sparrow, He can't even fly...SPLAT!! If He isn't whacked then Her and TheKingSlayer being Tommen's sire won't sit well...

Reminds Me of the Bush Cabal fighting w/the Clinton Cabal.. Marvin Bush, would be Tyrion on a drunk during 9/11 when just about every building His security company handled came down that day..

What are you trying to say that the bushes and there employees knew what was going to happen on that day of 9-11? But ya seems a bit conspicuous that, or not, may as well paint a big bullseye on it. Would people get it then, or is it all just elbows rubbing elbows. Its so crazy it just may be something there, no doupt they need to create a comity to investigate the comity that investigated the comity on this thing, and then maybe another comity to investigate that comity as well who investigated the first comity. And so on, you know just to see were the rub is.

But anyways, thats not important, whatever happened I am quite sure it does not matter. Except to the people who died that day maybe, or there relatives and such, I suppose, oh! that and maybe Moloch, that one was always one for the whole pass through the fire thing. I am quite sure there souls are held in his tight capable embrace. Generally it takes a soul about 5 billion or so incarnations to escape that seventh hell, eventually after that they may find themselves on this plane of existence again, or not. That and the Lord of hosts, you know the lord of the armies, those two sometimes go hand in hand it seems. Who knows what kind of crazy things all you nutters are up to now a days. But its probably nutty.

But anyways it does not matter now.

But that just may be for another thread, its so off topic.

As for the plot going on in the so obvious civil wars in that show, what we got one brewing in the north, one across the sea, and again one in so obvious kings landing.... Again. And considering there has been one since before the story of the show got started. Its kind of duh moment! Was there ever a time when there wasn't something brewing there? Even in the books and the history lore, its pretty much a continuous thing since before the targaryans came to that land and city.

So ya! Whoever wins that little encounter, the lanisters and tyrels or the Sparrow and his followers, no doubt they will fall come next season to another. Also I would not count out the high sparrow and his followers just flying away, for all you know he, and they, could be prepared and waiting for such an outcome, may even be why he got all friendly with the boy king and kind of spilled out his secrets for some reason to begin with, to eventually reach the ears of others oh so mysteriously, not to avoid a confrontation, but to create one.

Ohh! So exciting, the only thing more exciting would be if they brought strong belwas back. I am probably never going to forgive this author for killing off, or writing off would be the more appropriate term, what was one of the best and most awesome characters in all of the history of literature. The show is so much more lamer without him.

Yep, such a great character in the books, that simply wasn't really part of the show. Sad.

I'm really curious about this new red witch (or maybe it is really Mellisandre simply in another guise, and she can travel great distances?) I mean, she can bring back the dead, so teleportation can't be ruled out completely out of hand.

Before the season started (I think, or soon after), I got some GOT magazine. I haven't seen it since, on sale anywhere, and the material was a bit strange (rough vs. glossy), but anyhoo.... I was reading it the other day, and wow, it really has some spoilers in it.

So, fair warning...spoilers to come.

I warned you.

____________________________________________________________

I'll have to reference the actual material again for actor names and parts (and add these in), but here's what I recall off the top of my head...

In Braavos, Arya is going to meet up with an acting troupe...whose schtick is that they play roles such as Robert, Cersei, Maergyrie, etc. (can never spell her name), not sure if this will be involved in her next mission, etc., only that she meets up with them, and that it isn't just a one episode thing.

We're going to see Sam go back to his family, and how he interacts with the other Tarlys, getting a lot of his backstory.

Bran is definitely going to learn more backstory, and meet up with some kind of hermit preacher after. (not the old man in the tree)

There's a band of outlaws (left over from the Lannister/Stark war). I have NO idea how they'll fit in, but I suspect Jon and Sansa will run into them on their way to Winterfell.

The other red priestess is definitely a differently named witch (starts with an A, but can't remember the full name of her), and she will meet with Varys and Tyrion. We saw her in the preview for the next episode. Based on the power of the necklace, I was almost wondering if it was Melisandre in disguise, (and teleporting or something), but no, it's a different red witch.

Can't recall much more, but I'll check the magazine and flesh this out a bit better.

So Dany taking over the Dothraki (again) was pretty cool.... Gave me goosebumps. But then, I have a love for sacred fire.

Trying to figure out what is up with Jon and him developing a wuss attitude. I know his faith has been shaken but this character is simply annoying. I don't think Ned would have raised a son to act that way...

And I LOVED the Brianne - Tormund interaction. Makes me think she has a (not-so-secret) admirer. Kinda hoped she would hook up with Jaime (and really piss Cersei off in the process), but this is definitely more interesting.

Sad indeed what they did to Strong Belwas.

The newest episode was pretty good, the mystery of Hodor has finally been solved, oh and the ice people as well, they sure do come apart when you hit them with obsidian though! And a few other things as well they revealed, which is a lot for the first few shows, even makes me wonder what the finale of this season is going to be, its got to top these first few episodes. Though the only thing that would really surprise me would be if they introduced Strong Belwas somehow.

But anyways this season has been shaping up pretty well.

I wish to God I had taken video during that scene. My daughter had larengytis, so this squeaky voice, and her reactions would have gone viral during that scene...Opportunity missed.

Didn't remember the priestess' name right, darn. Good to see Arya met up with the acting troupe though, kind of confirms the info in that article.

Really some big reveals though....

The origin of Hodor's "Hodor!"

The origin of the White Walkers (you think they would have had some kind of failsafe there, huh?)

Sir Friendzone revealing he has grayscale to Dany

The revelation of the new Red Witch (if I recall the article, she'll also have a couple of male priests that will help spread her message too)

While we say the Dothraki in awe of Dany, we now know she indeed seems to be their leader. (and that she's on the move, so assuming she's heading back to her city. From her statements, we also know that she has every intention on becoming the Queen of the 7 kingdoms.

We see Arya's first real assignment (and last chance with the Faceless Men).

Definitely one of the better episodes to date.

Well Ian McShane certainly didn't last long, eh? My husband is so disappointed.... But at least we know the Hound is still alive.

And it was good to see Cersei beaten down. Wonder how much crow she had to swallow before getting the guts to go plead with Olenna. How ya like that & @#t sandwich....

Was a bit surprised that Sansa and Jon would be so uninspiring.... Hope they turn that around.

And Arya.... Poor Arya.

Check my (and others of course) Fight Club theory for Arya. On the contrary, I think we're just seeing the death of her old weaker self, and the emergence of her as an assassin.

Well Ian McShane certainly didn't last long, eh?

I know right? That surprised me. Thought they'd make the mentoring of the Hound be a bit longer. Has to be a reason he fights for the Sept, when he faces his brother in CleganeBowl!

I'm surprised Grandma Tyrell is leaving, though at least she caught Margyree's jist. She sure gave it both barrels to Cersei, hehe.... I love that old gal. Not sure what the young queen is up to, but she better do something soon.
