The Donkey of A New Corvette...

Ok I was in Detroit for work this week staying at the Renaissance Center Hotel also GMs world headquarters.

There were many new Corvettes driving around GM world. Is it me or should the assend of the Corvette be one solid color?

Or if you order grey it is all grey

The grey one has been customized. The yellow one is typical. It's been that way for the last three years. If you get one, you can paint it any color you want.

Grey is a very subtle colour, can be classy or just look dirty. It looks okay in the picture. The component parts at the back that are not the same colour, are probably the same for all the cars, and you can't see the grey car's bits low down, but they look black too.
It's built to a price as most cars are, so if they don't do a total custom, yuh may get your brush out!

I take that back. That may be the default rear end and it just looks like the same color on the grey. I've been playing around with the configurator at GM. But the overall point is that it has been that way since the beginning of the C7 Corvettes beginning with the 2014 model year in mid-2013. And it's been discussed to death on any Corvette forum you can imagine, along with the "Camaro" tail lights--so much so that the mods have declared, "Enough already!" and axed any further discussion.

Personally, I think it ought to be an option to have body-color on that panel the same way they allow customization of the default black vent plates for a whopping $995! (A ridiculous price for what it is.) You could likely pull that panel and paint it body color for about the same price. So I actually agree with you, but that's just not how they're playing it. That grey, btw, is history for 2017. It's been "sunset-ed."

Your also right, you could pull off the panel yourself and paint it much cheaper.

I would have to disagree. I prefer the black on the yellow.

Saying that, all black is my personal favourite
