Actually, there is a really BIG difference between the Paul campaign of 2012 and the Cruz campaign of 2016. Ron Paul never disenfranchised an entire population in a states election process. The people that voted for Ron Paul were tired of the media blackout when he filled stadiums full of supporters. Cruz talks about conservative values, and upholding the constitution, and all the while him and his delegates keep an entire state from exercising their right to vote, for no other reason than they don't want Donald Trump to win. Its one thing when your being treated unfairly, in the case of Paul, but when Cruz does it just to be vicious to another opponent, that doesn't make it ok. I totally agree with Donald Trump that its wrong, and the process needs to be fixed so that the PEOPLE vote for who they want, and not a special group of people before voting even begins. Ron Paul or his delegates in 2012 would have never let an entire state go without voting.

The Presidential Election process is so deceptive and deceitful! I bet that if a Third-Party candidate won the Presidential election, Congress would dig up and evoke some bullchit clause to keep him or her from being certified and sworn in. Especially if that third-party winner is Donald Trump.

Oh you know that this is already in the works. I have no doubt that they will either find or create a loophole clause way before November - you know just in case.

After all - the two party system - ehmmm one party system needs to survive ..

There is probably more democracy in Russia then here at this point.

YEP.. maybe every election cycle is a chess match, with players thinking 3 or 4 moves ahead. But this time it's more diabolical in nature. As that arrogant GOP leader Rinse Pubis says, we need to "Shut up and sit down!". The nominee decisions are out of our hands and influence.

So it seems that at the Colorado State convention, Colorado Republicans for Liberty – a Cruz offshoot group - handed out a 'Resolution to Forbid Colorado Delegates from Voting for Donald Trump'

Trying to find out if this document is real or not, but if is then it might be what Paul Mannafort was talking about when he mentioned 'gestapo tactics'

Resolution to Forbid Colorado Delegates from Voting for Donald Trump

Whereas Donald Trump is not a Republican; and

Whereas Donald Trump is a demagogue who is using fear, hate, and lies to assemble a mob in support of an agenda of socialist policy, unlimited government, and strongman rule; and

Whereas Donald Trump would destroy the Western alliance which is the basis of American security; and

Whereas Donald Trump would destroy the system of international trade which is the basis of American prosperity; and

Whereas Donald Trump would destroy the freedom of the press that is the basis of American liberty; and

Whereas Donald Trump would destroy the rule of law which is the basis of American civil society; and

Whereas Donald Trump has mocked those who risked their lives to fight for America when he avoided doing so; and

Whereas Donald Trump has acted as an apologist for America’s enemy Vladimir Putin and other brutal anti-American foreign tyrants; and

Whereas Donald Trump has set himself forth as an open exponent of lust, greed, and other vices antithetical to Judeo-Christian ethics and the moral fiber necessary to sustain a republic; and

Whereas Donald Trump has demonstrated that he has no respect for the truth, and

Whereas Donald Trump has defrauded thousands of ordinary Americans of their life savings; and

Whereas Donald Trump has, in the course of the present campaign, committed acts potential prosecutable as incitement to riot, a federal crime punishable by up to five years in prison; and

Whereas Donald Trump has knowingly acted to degrade the Republican presidential nominating process to a vile level that can only serve to drive people of talent and integrity out of the party and assist in the election of the party’s opponents; and

Whereas the nomination of Donald Trump for president would insure a landslide defeat for the Republican Party nationwide in the fall, and deeply damage the Republican Party and the conservative movement for years, and possibly decades to come; and

Whereas a vote for Donald Trump by any member of the Colorado delegation to the Republican National Convention would dishonor and disgrace the Colorado Republican Party;

Therefore, be it resolved that: The Colorado Republican Party forbids any of its delegates to the Republican National Convention to vote for Donald Trump for president or vice president on the first ballot or any other ballot, and The Colorado Republican Party asks its delegates to national convention to pledge on their honor to do everything in their power to help secure the presidential nomination for someone other than Donald Trump. Donald Trump has threatened the Republican Party with mob violence. Let’s tell him where to go!

at 3:00PM The West Steps of the Colorado State Capitol Building 200 E. Colfax Ave. Denver CO, 80203

On April 9th, 3,900 Colorado Republicans voted in a closed convention. We believe that the 34 Colorado national delegates selected that day do not accurately represent us.

We will peacefully assemble outside the Colorado State Capitol Building to make a showing of the vast number of Colorado voters who are not represented by the 34 delegates selected at our recent State Convention.

We will also organize support for future legislative measures to bring the primary election back to Colorado voters.

Good find!
Where did that come from?

ETA: I am sooo furious with the Republican party right now, that I don't even know how to put it into words.

Colorado GOP head Steve House ... 10 days before the rules were changed in Colorado

In an audio of Colorado Republican Party Chair Steve House speaking at an August 11th Pueblo County GOP meet-up, House made some interesting statements about Donald Trump. Here are some of his comments from the meeting: “Do I think he’s going to be the nominee? Absolutely not.” “Do you know who he’s taking away votes from? Ted Cruz. Right, Ted Cruz, right? Which is so hard to believe.” “I think what happens to Donald Trump—with all due respect to a man who has made billions of dollars and had companies go bankrupt and recovered—is he’s going to get bored. He’s going to get bored. He’s going to get tired of the continuous questioneering and badgering.” “I’m really looking forward to having Donald Trump and Carly Fiorina on the same stage. Because I think she will make him look bad. I really, really do.”

Colorado voters are set to March on the GOP Head Office in Colorado this Friday to protest what happened.

"Weeks before delegates met, a resolution was created and subsequently passed around to delegates on April 9 when they met to select their candidate. The resolution forbid the state’s GOP delegates from voting for Trump on any ballot for president or vice president."

From the article. This is insanity and the Superdelegates of democrats is insanity. Is this representative government that the colonists had in mind? Now we know why Trump and Bernie's Time has come.

Good retort there quick draw McGraw! Only two years after this thread was made.

But it goes to show that Trump was elected as POTUS despite the crookedness of the DNC and the GOP.
