Personally,

I think Rey is Luke's daughter. (also going to say that the character in the upcoming "Rogue One" movie, is likely to be Rey's mom. I think Ren spared her (his cousin) when he and his knights slaughtered the other Jedi trainees, and then took her and marooned her on Jaku (which would also explain the presence of the Falcon there). I think he mind-wiped her too, which may have prevented Luke from sensing her. I think Luke thought she was dead, so losing his wife and child, basically went into seclusion.

She was young enough, so that Han and Leia wouldn't recognize her when older, but Chewie likely does, and Leia probably senses a connection (upon Rey regaining her senses a bit). She's good at the Force, because she's a Skywalker, and she was trained as a kid (my guess). Touching the lightsaber broke the spell (and mind-wipe) a bit.

This would also explain why R2-D2 came to, once in Rey's proximity.

Snoke is Darth Sidious...would be my guess. Maybe Palpatine didn't quite succeed in killing his master.
