I have this shirt. I had no problem forkin over $20.00 for it.
The shirt generated a lot of buzz when a native american rapper wore it on stage and offended white people.
I had to have it after that.
I get mostly positive feedback.

dumb is dumb. and this story is dumb.

im not emotionally attached either way here.....but can readily see the difference between "indian" as a human and "indian" as a costume.

Unless that dude is telling me that Indians still tend to run around with feathers.

Something that folks outside the US may not know: most of us who have been here for 2-3 generations or more (for me, its on my fathers side) have a fair amount of Indian heritage. I don't even think about it a lot.....but my grandmothers mom was in the Trail of Tears travesty.

So what we have here is someone on ESPN giving us sociopolitical commentary. This is the point where I really need an animated "roll eyes" emote. LOL

Alright....so here we go. Prepare to be highly offended.

I figured that "Fighting Whites" was a little less descriptive than I really wanted on any logo apparel that im going to wear. I mean, if im out to shock people with a socio political statement....i want to make sure I am very clear and concise. So Fighting Whites is out.

I think instead im going to go with Fighting Irish. Its a little more apt, since the Irish are stereotypically well known for being rowdy. Here's the logo we can use:

Now you're on to something. It would be completely uncalled for to have a character that portrayed the rowdy, drunk white guy from the Isles doing his daily drinking and fighting. Maybe ill work up a comic strip around such a character:

Seriously, have you ever seen tape of a late seventies/early eighties MLB game? There was nothing athletic about white pitchers. The white pitcher and white first baseman looked like they were one Big Mac removed from triple bypass. It is truly amazing the difference in physique a generation later.

I'm 1/8 blackfoot. Any family that has any sort of multi-generational roots in this country is going to have Native American ancestory of some sort. My mom's side is six generations. My dads side goes back to the Mass. Bay colony. Add in old family Californio's? The math is fairly obvious.

One of my great-grandfathers, as it turns out, was full blooded Blackfoot.

We didn't know this until just about two years ago...we finally were able to discover who he was. It was one of the mysteries on my mothers side of the family...
