Like it will make any difference who votes. You choose all the time between two fires and I bet there us already known who is next POTUS. All the rest is noise and peoples entertainment.

What could immigrants do? Vote against trump? Like we all know Hillary will win. Like bush did. And you don't see pattern. Bush name and Clinton name... And you sayu live in democratic country, please give me a break. And now immigrant votes are problem, lol

The biggest problem with this country is that most people don't know how to comprehend a story.

I think the op needs to take a break from the news or so called news for a bit and spend some time camping.

Not just your country but worldwide. I only read the first entry and wondered whether the OP had been smoking the wacky backy. Now do I venture further into this thread and read some ever more obscure defensive distortions because the OP can't put his hand up and say "sorry folks got it wrong".

Nah can't ars.d, time for a pint.

Your problem is your assuming I'm talking about Latinos but I'm talking about illegal immigration as is everyone else.

No - I can see you mean illegal immigration...

I also see something else

The world is a scary place sometimes - I hope you can keep yourself from giving in to fear and hysteria

Also - check your U2Us

And to quote the OP, "I fear for the future of our nation."

Yes, but my fear (and presumably yours) is because of the unintelligent fear mongering that has become commonplace banter in America. I fear that we have fallen off of the apathy-is-better-than-critical-thinking cliff and that most people don't have the stamina to climb back up the mountain side.

I'm not being hard headed. My persceptive is very clear and well understood.

They want assimilation to form the North American Union.

We'll agree to disagree about your hardheadedness, as myriad people (including me, obviously) have explained to you how bad both the title of this thread and your reasoning behind such a claim (as based on the linked story) is. Your perspective is what it is, but you didn't start by stating your perspective, you started by making claims that a story and a ruling said and mean something that they don't.

As for your assimilation comment, I don't disagree with that idea in theory, but this ruling is not a step toward that.

But again, we can agree to disagree, as I'm sure that you're tired of responding to those of us who disagree with you.

I cannot believe the mods have allowed this thread title to remain.

It's a complete and utter lie.

They let it lie because they know that illegal immigration is a vast and complex issue and has been for decades.

Please go away.

How can you own property without a tax I'd and proper identification?

I'm assuming from one's own country. Chinese buy property in the US, as do many Canadians. I'm assuming other foreigners (maybe Mexicans with money) can too.

If you have over $500,000 to invest in the USA, you can enter the country as a permanent resident. I know a couple of post-grad students in Edinburgh set up a startup company, got bought out, given $500,000 and moved to the USA.

Distortion and willful ignorance is not reading between the lines....

This didn't change a thing, that seems to be the part OP and others want to ignore.

Because a problem is complex you're allowed to lie about it?

Hmm ... don't think it works that way.

Why allow Non-citizens to vote?

Absolutely ridiculous.

Might as well allow holiday makers to vote.

The article is real, they really do count everyone in a district to ensure representation. The OP claiming illegals will be allowed to vote soon though....

Why are we counting them if this isn't a move towards voting?

Actually, Texas already is counting everyone. If you paid attention...

Original Story

Though the justices were unanimous in upholding Texas' use of total population, Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito declined to join Ginsburg's opinion.

The ruling allows Texas to keep doing what it has been doing.

While there is no place where illegals can "legally" vote (the CA thing is a myth by the way)....the idea of counting non-citizens for representation purposes is just absolutely ridiculous.
