Browsing ATS, and my screen was hijacked by dancing hamsters..Advert or something else?

So that's pretty much my question. I was checking out some ATS threads (had no other browsers open) when suddenly the screen was filled with dancing cartoon hamsters, and my speakers began blasting a frantic high pitched hamster version of Roger MIller's "Robin Hood". I saw no indications of a product of any kind, but I didn't get a chance to study it much. It flickered between the ATS page and the hamsters several times and then disappeared. Spooked me a bit. Any thoughts?


ETA: Anyone read " The Catcher In The Rye"? I really want to read that now for some reason..

I was really pissed at first cause I thought that the obvious joke would have rendered the forums useless for the day (on mobile so it looked weird). Then it gt back to normal

My first thoughts, WTF Refresh can't be.. lol

Thought that was an actual real time cam of the critters that power the servers...

Well my phone sound was turned off, and I still heard the song.
Uncomfortable, and not impressed.

I just made my account today and saw the dancing hamsters as soon as I logged in for the first time. Wasn't sure if it was an April Fool's Joke or that's just how the site works. I'm glad to see that it's just a joke though.
