I am embarrassed for people that would squabble over the difference between a lance and a spear, please
carry on
Also in the Nicene Creed Jesus' supposed death isn't even mentioned, only that he was crucified and brought to a tomb. This shows the subject was controversial up to and following the Nicene Council.
Jesus may have been dead to the soldiers at Calvary, but he was evidently not dead enough, since he would live to tell the story to Rosemary disguised as a gardener three days later.
Devil's in the details, sir.

The spear represents betelgeuse the spear of the constellation of Orion.
in freemasonry beyond the 24th degree you learn about star worsip in relation to religion.
The spear of destiny I believe it was called. Typically of mythology the weapon often varies between a sword and a spear for the constellation of Orion. The fifth wound in the flesh is done by a roman soldier that is the biblical equivalent of the apostle paul who is the all seeing eye in freemasonry. The constellation of Orion is often associated with DEATH and weaponry.

Same here. The Huntress can be seen below (named Orion mostly, but to me she is the Huntress) with the bow in the left hand and shoots in the right. Belt and knife (no point being a hunter archer without a knife and a belt of extra strings, eh?)
