Its the Whiteman keeping him down ! but seriously I don't know a single American Negro irl so I can't comment on them but our own Australian Aborigine I can...we give them houses and they tear them down from the inside out. Then blame the government for not giving them houses ???? the Government institutes alcohol bans so they drive to the next town and bulk buy, then come back to their own town and go on violent rampages. If you ever get into an argument of any kind with an Australian Aborigine expect to get bashed, violence is the first response to any and everything.

This need to turn instantly to violence is the core of the problem, if they could just stop and think about it for a minute. Why do they need to turn to violence at any hint of a problem ?

Well having formally lived in Texas for 13 years and California for three your ignorant to the situation.

Also I live in a middle class area of SC and it's 50 percent black middle class.

Ever heard of Appalachian culture?

Blacks were segregated about 40 years ago with state sponsored racism. Thats a generation. In St Louis 45 years ago they expiremented on blacks by pushing radiation through their air ducts. There are many examples of this.

My wife's family are Polish she has duel citizenship. They have a similar story to yours. That in no way erases history. Or what the black culture is up against in the US.

. There are entire anthropology books written on the subject. I am guessing you don't have much education yourself.

I'm guessing you have no idea about our Indigenous Population what such ever ? if you did then you wouldn't be coming out as such a know it all. Their Modus Operand is to ask you for a cigarette, when you say "sorry I don't smoke" its their opening to bash you and take your wallet. This happens every day all around the country and goes unreported, the police can't deal with it and its a very sad indictment on their culture of violence.

Everything "they" don't like, is the "race card" while putting racism in quotations whenever they use it.

Though I feel like I must say; on a slightly related note, that if there's one thing I love about the US armed forces, it's that the style of ignorance displayed here in this thread is very rare to see among current and former participants of the US armed forces who've had diverse and real world experiences. Away from their segregated small town views. Whether it be by fellowship, comradeship or shining bright themselves as outsiders overseas.. Often times when I see someone sticking up for and defending a person who has just been discriminated against, it's a former US service member doing the lecture.

But dear, those who are loudly and proudly ignorant have the right to be proud and ignorant, don't they?
And some of those who still don't get it, simply have their hands over their ears as they scream and don't listen. Whatever the motivation might be.

I'm glad there are still some voices of "common sense" around here though.

Have you ever spent much time in the ghetto? I have. Ever grow up in the suburbs? I did. Ever have the best education? Yup I got that. Ever been subject to being looked at like a black person? No comment because I don't get into my personal details, but to disenfranchise an entire people then set them free with promise of support and help and come through with nothing, well, what would you expect? I would stay as far away from those deceivers as possible, thus, the ghetto. Don't bother me in the ghetto. Why you gotta come in here and judge my way of living? Just because I don't like caviar does not mean I'm going to rag on you for your orgasm over it. Basically, what makes you think these ghetto dwellers have any desire to leave their comfort zone. How have you left your comfort zone? Bought a stranger a meal lately? Gave money to the homeless at any point in your life? How about volunteering? Do you believe in that? Have you ever spent any time with a ghetto child just because you care? Change yourself before you start demanding change from those whom you do not understand. 😁

I guess you have no idea of the history of your indigenous either. It goes back 60,000 years until the UK started colonizing your island with criminals and despots. Funny you don't mention how they were treated until very recently. Pretty easy to pick up a book now and again though and read how their culture came to be this way. We did the same here in the US and have similar problems with our indigenous.

Considering you just started treating them like people in the late 60's (really not until the 90's)
And nearly wiped them out after colonization I think a little larger world view may help.

After all the colonists taught them all about substance abuse and STDs. Something they never had until the arrival of immigrants.

Why are asians so good at math. Why can't they do anything else besides add? Why can't they use that obvious intelligence to do other things besides math? I just don't understand these racial generalisations....

Why can't black people seem to get out of the ghetto?

There are culturally enforced influences to make living in the 'ghetto' or other impoverished areas seem appealing.
Most if not all of these influences come from inside these communities.
I know how this is going to sound...
But I think it's also a partly because black people are lazy.
My family (whom is black btw) would jokingly ask me if I had experienced yet what they called "n*gg3r-itis" which is essentially 'black laziness' or sleepiness.
Now according to them it is quite common among black people to be quite lazy.
Although I wouldn't take my word on this.

Minorities have had exceptional opportunities in this country. There are and have been for quite a while minority programs to fund child care, buy a home, college grants and scholarships, employment training, start and own businesses, if you can name it, it probably exists. There are volunteer programs to give away school supplies, food, medications, services, furniture...even fricken' prom dresses! All funded by volunteers or taxpayers on the state and federal level.

Usually, being a minority is usually NOT the ONLY requirement to be met, maybe that's the problem.

There are many, many non-minorities in need but they will not meet that minority requirement so they don't qualify for any of the above. They do however get the privilege to provide for their own families AND for others while hearing them complain about not enough support. It gets sickening to hear from people wearing better clothes, eating better food, owning better furniture and technology, having nicer things than those who provide them. Especially since food, clothing, shelter and love are the only four real requirements in life.

To say minorities have been strung along with little or no support is just plain hogwash.

Here's a really interesting doco about the history of urban ghetto's and how institutionalized racism against black people created them in the first place... its well worth watching, if your serious about wanting to gain a better understanding of the mentality of the people who are born and raised in these places.

But I'm guessing most people who have a low opinion of these communities aren't in reality interested in educating themselves on the matter... but would rather just judge them with their uneducated ignorant preconceived perceptions, right?

There are two types of African Americans. Just like every other race. The can dos and the cant do. I work in the oil industry. 75% of my co workers are black. My boss is black. These guys drive dodge chargers their wives drive bmws. Most do not have a degree but are ex military or can pass a drug test and background check. They have these things because they are willing to work shift work long hours with overtime and they have a clean background by their choice. They were raised right. They know what right and wrong are. Most carry guns because they have concealed carry licenses. Some lazy people want to blame their own bad behavior on American Slavery and the fact that they think the government owes them something. They want things for free. None of them grew up in slavery. Its like blaming modern Germans for the Nazis. That is stupid and immature. People of every race are biased or prejudiced in some way our relatives grew up in that generation of civil rights. It takes time to change. The problem is some people cant get out of their own biased. They think failure and they have bad life decisions they dont feel like they have to respect other people and follow rules. Society is about rules. You have to follow laws you have to play the game. You want to disrespect other people by stealing, doing drugs, killing people ect I dont care what race you are it ends badly and its YOUR fault. Not the police, not society not anyone else YOU are your own problem. And as far as my own opinion I have no tears for people like this. They reap what they sow. Ask the black guys I work with driving sports cars and Tundras without college degrees. They earned it.

Ahh the old "I made it so why can't everyone be like me" bunch of crap.
Some people become millionaires, why can't everyone become millionaires?
Such ignorant, racist crap OP.

And for your amazing education you speak of, your OP is littered with grammatical and spelling errors.
But good job for not being as poor as the 'typical' black folks, huh!
