The Peace of God to all that belong to the light,
Dear Readers,

This is a really sad and terrible news that has come out just today, showing the level of decay in respect to human rights in the terrible conflict
that is shaken Syria and Iraq under the expansion of ISIS.

Washington Times- World - ISIS Crucifies Catholic Priest Tom Uzhunnalil on Good Friday: Reports

By Damien Sharkov On 3/28/16 at 10:29 AM

The militant group Islamic State (ISIS) continued its persecution of Christian groups by allegedly crucifying a Catholic priest on Good Friday, the Washington Times reports.

The victim was reportedly the Rev. Thomas Uzhunnalil, a Salesian priest, who was kidnapped in Yemen earlier this month during a raid on a Catholic nursing home run by Mother Teresa’s organization Missionaries of Charity.

Uzhunnalil, a native of India, was captured on March 4, in a raid which also killed 16 Christian nuns and nurses. His alleged death by the same method the Romans used to kill Jesus—an event marked by Christians around the world on Good Friday—was reportedly confirmed at the Easter Vigil Mass by Cardinal Christoph Schonborn of Vienna, although the Cardinal's claim has yet to be independently verified.

Please check:
www.newsweek.com...

The thread is open for the members interested in the analysis of the terrible conspiracy against the Christians of Syria and Iraq by the terrorist group ISIS, please remain in topic and post respecting the guidelines of decorum in the communication.

Thanks for your attention,

Well Dear Tiamat,

It is clear that ISIS has launched an extermination campaign against the Assyrian Christians of North Syria and Iraq along all 2015, hundreds of communities have been harassed, their churches completely destroyed and whoever don't convert into Islam is executed, this in spite of whatever other crimes ISIS is carrying out against also Muslims that don't share the same point of view of course.

eaglerising.com...

www.theguardian.com...

This is a genocide that has been not even accepted as existing and so also not yet condemned by the none governments of the Muslim world, it has been however reported by the western media along more than a year.

I don't understand. Trolling? No. I reject the idea of the OP's conspiracy. Simple. Trolling=disagreeing. Good one. I didn't know what trolling was exactly before, except that it wasn't a good thing, but now I know. Thanks.

Oh cut the crap.

I know Assyrian Christians from the Middle East and there is angenocide happening to their people that's why they had to flee Iraq and come to America. This has been happening for a lot longer than IsIS has been around.

But it is an ISIS conspiracy according to the OP...Eh fine. You don't want opposing ideas. I understand that clearly. The other comment cleared that up for me.

I don't think the particular religious faith of the victims necessarily qualifies a plot to be a conspiracy, it is what is done against them what makes it such!

It would be also a conspiracy if this terrible barbaric prosecution would be launched against Buddhists, Gypsies or Jews or any other minority, but it seems they are not demographically significant in the region, so we must talk about the Christian Assyrians, one of the most ancient communities of the Christian world, the only ones by the way that speak the same language once spoken by Jesus Christ: Aramaic.

Now, when a religion is being erased by force, menacing their members to convert to another faith or face death, when entire cities has been harassed, when there is people knocking doors, going house by house in search for Christians that is without doubt a Conspiracy of religious nature, it is unacceptable and it is also violation of the most fundamental Human rights.

I have the impression that you are looking the way to move the topic of discussion into another very different. Just to be clear, anybody that launch a campaign of extermination like this one against an ethnical group due to their faith is committing genocide and must be reported as it.

Thanks,

Well then it should be reported as genocide against anyone that does not share the beliefs of Daesh, no? So yes against Christians, but also other Muslim groups. I think that sounds fair. I'm not trying to move this topic, others made weird claims. Not up to date with some terms
Just making an argument.

I think that link is pretty specific, not all embracing. I also think Angel replied to your initial statement as best anyone can when it comes to IS.
In my mind all life is sacred even in just human terms, and I'm not even all that religious. IS have no clue about religion, and mostly, they have no clue about life. Yes, they kill all round them in their dubious fanaticism, and probably no one is safe, and it seems, they don't draw the line when it comes to children with disability, that being the case, I consider them not even human...and if they ever came near my children some who have disability, I would be the one wearing a belt, much as that would destroy my soul. So yes they are conspirators, who and what they are is another question.

This doesn't sound like something that ISIS would do. It immediately turns the priest into some kind of a holy martyr and elevates him to the level of Jesus, by crucifying him on Good Friday!

I don't believe this story for one minute. And, it seems I'm in good company.

Friends and supporters of the priest said they did not believe the reports about his death, and Salesian officials in India have urged people to avoid “spreading false rumors.”

“I have strong indications he’s still alive,” said Bishop Paul Hinder, according to a tweet Monday by Cindy Wooden, Rome bureau chief of the Catholic News Service. Hinder said he doubts the stories of Uzhunnalil’s death. “Nobody knows exactly what is happening,” he told CNS.

Yes, even the OP article says 'allegedly'.

IS 'conspires' to eradicate all concepts of faith save their own from the lands they occupy. So if they're conspiring to eliminate Christians, they're also conspiring to eliminate Jews, Yazdis and -- above all -- Shia Muslims.

But every person they kill gets the option of saving their life by converting. So this is not genocide. This is religious persecution.

Let's get the terminology right, or we risk losing the plot.

What a Blessing for the priest, to be allowed to demonstrate his Xtian beliefs by dying just as his Lord died!
To judge and blame ISIS for his death is no different than judging and blaming the Romans for Jesus' death!
WHO is responsible for Jesus' death?
You are!
I Am!
All who sin is!
Who are we to judge!
I bet that he went Blissfully!

Just another barbaric brick in the wall for ISIS.

And for the troll in this thread;

ISIS are Sunni and they attack and kill;

Shia Muslims
Christians
Yazidis
Atheists
Gays
Americans and westerners

To deny any of these groups the right to grieve their dead is inhumane. Every life lost to those ISIS thugs is a tragedy.

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to Heaven, especially those most in need of Thy mercy. Amen.

You are within your right to question the authenticity of this. But it is sadly true. It has been confirmend by the Archbishop of Vienna

ISIS would view this as an insult, not the creation of a martyr. I do not expect anyone non spiritual to understand or want to engage in the reasons motivation ISIS' behaviour but;

The war that ISIS is fighting is over who gets worshipped; their false prophet of Islam or the Abrahamic God of the old testament.

Another martyr for our lord's army, he is alive more now than he ever was in this valley of tear's and more than that he is in the company of saints as are all those martyred for the name of Jesus.

It is irrational, I too feel deep sorrow but that sorrow should not be for this man, he is a prized child of god for dying for his name and a true martyr to be crucified as our lord was, I should feel sorrow for us on earth as Jesus said when the woman were weeping for him for this is the world of suffering.

In the past the Roman's thought that Christians were death worshiper's they did not understand that to live in christ is to live eternally and though I type this and do believe I probably don't understand either.

Think on this Daesh think they are martyred by killing innocent people and crying to there false god Allah like a human sacrifice but our God does not accept human sacrifice the suffering of his son was more than sufficient for us all, he accepts our sacrifice FOR him not TOO him, those who died for christ like the Coptic Egyptian workers beheaded and this priest are alive, more alive than any of us here and they will be spared the corruption of this world but more than this they are of course Coming back with our lord, they are the first to be resurrected.

The book or revelation mentions those beheaded but of course this man crucified for our lord will be with them as well.
I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. Revelation 20:4

The muslims bow to the Kaaba they do not bow to the holy of holy's or to god, the Kaaba is the image of the beast.

I'm going to need more to go than some Archbishop's say so. According to the OP's article, and other articles that I've found, the Archbishop of Vienna's assertion is yet to be confirmed.

I don't really doubt that many, if not most, of ISIS' kidnapped victims are dead, unconscionably murdered. But, what I do NOT believe is that ISIS crucified a Catholic Priest on Good Friday, Jesus Style.

Surely, if they did this, they did so to make a statement, and we should see pictures from them, bragging to the global media about what they did. There should be more confirmation that rumors spread by some Archbishop, who wasn't there.

Isn't it enough, the murders and mass killings through suicide bombers, kidnapped young women made into slaves...does the Catholic Church really need to exaggerate the victimization of Christians by making up a claim of the crucifixion of a priest on Good Friday? Geez, they're going to have all kinds of would be martyrs line up for the privilege of being crucified by ISIS, just like their savior, on Good Friday!

Church leaders deny reports Catholic priest was crucified by Islamic State on Good Friday

Nope. I don't believe this story for a minute! Like I said, I'm going to need more to go than some Archbishop's say so.

I actually agree with you on this.

There's still a chance he's alive.

Point is, it's not 100% confirmed. However, since they don't mind drowning people in cages or burning folks alive, given their history of barbarism, I wouldn't put it past them to do so. Again though, it's not completely confirmed.
